Excellent customer service. We ordered four items. The crispy garlic chicken, The chili fried rice with chicken, Pad Sei Lew (broad rice noodle)and Thai tea.All the dishes were great, but the the crispy garlic chicken was a little sweet, which we were expecting to be savory, so just a heads-up. If you don’t like dishes like orange chicken which have a mild sweetness, You most likely wouldn’t like their crispy garlic chicken. The Thai tea was good, but didn’t have an option to adjust sweetness level.
My wife and I brought our 4 kids in at 8:10. The host immediately asked, and I quote, " will you be able to finish your food by 9, we close at 9 sharp!" I let him know that we understood the restaurant closed at 9. He walked away to find us a table. While he was gone, I noticed there were other tables being seated as well, which also received the same treatment as I am describing.Once he returned, he again pointed to his watch and said "we close at 9" as he guided us to our table. This is obviously extremely unnecessary and rude. When our server greeted us, we mentioned that we had been told twice that you "closed at 9", and he rolled his eyes and said "ignore them, you are fine" to suggest that this strange reiteration of the closing time was normal and equally annoying to staff. We ordered appetizers and food, completing our meal around 8:55. However, we did not see our server again until 9:10, when we asked for to-go boxes and received the check. At 9:15, 2 minutes after my card was run, and as we were putting our food into the to-go boxes, an unapologetically rude woman came to our table, pointed at her watch, and said "are you almost done, we are closed". This was done with rude hand gestures and body language as well, to convey her strong annoyance that we were there. Other tables were still leaving as well, and we had just received my credit card back and to-go boxes. My family and I eat out a lot, and I have never been treated like this at a restaurant... Look at some of the other reviews for this place, the hostess and host are extremely rude and unaccommodating to customers. Will not be returning.
Today Bai tong participated in first responders free lunches with 4 options. It was amazing. they are always on point. the chicken curry was awesome. perfect amount of curry to rice. the chicken cashew my coworker got was very good as well as the pineapple rice. the egg rolls were still crunchy. Lunch was on point today! thank you Bai Tong!
I don’t know what happened to this place but it was really slow. 40 minutes just for server to take our order. They added 20% tip automatically for party of seven which I normally tip anyways except it was non existent service. Not once did anyone ask us if we needed anything not to mention waiting 40 minutes for server.Lastly the prices are through the roof. $6 for a kids cup of juice. Ridiculous.Food was good as always though!
This is one of our "go to" restaurants in Issaquah. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is fantastic and the decor is pleasant. The kids always order the Pad Thai or Crispy Garlic Chicken, while I love the Panang Curry. Prices are reasonable, especially given the high quality.
Great all around! Crispy garlic chicken is bomb, fried rice and spring rolls were great as well. Excellent service
The assorted appetizer platter and the khao soi were very nice. The chicken wrapped in pandan leaves was a little dry.Service was quick. They have a 90min limit on dining in.
Good ambiance, awesome tasty food. Parking during busy hours are challenging. Portion size is medium. Food is expensive compared to other thai restaurant in 3 mile radius. Staff is helpful.
My favorite Thai restaurant in Issaquah. Love the ambience, staff friendliness and the good is delicious. They offer many gluten-free options.
The food is generally good and the service fine, but neither really stands out as exceptional for me. I’ve been to Bai Tong many times; we used to live within a mile. My main complaint is that both the food and service are inconsistent. A spicy factor of 3, for example, can be relatively bland one day and absolutely nuclear the next. Recently I emailed the manager about our poor experience with the food and never received a reply. My email was not at all rude or negative in tone, so that was surprising.
