Beautiful and delicious sushi rolls.
Hands down the best sushi place in Issaquah. I love the variety of food and meals such as Bulgogi (very flavorful). The star of this restaurant though is exactly what it should be, the sushi! The fish is always such high quality. The toro, bluefin and king salmon nigiri are always fresh and on point. The sea urchin was also quite delicious and fresh tasting when I had it.I can always count on Aji to bring me the high quality sushi I crave. Always worth the cost.The staff is also very nice, while dining in they made recommendations and were passionate about how fresh and quality their fish was, encouraging me to try fish or combinations I wouldn't try otherwise.They recently added online ordering too, which really helped since their take out phone lines were always busy and hard to reach.If I had one piece of feedback, it would be that they still use plastic bags and plastic togo containers. If they adjusted this to compostable or paper, this would instantly be my favorite place around!
Beware. Meal was cold. Eel was stringy and poorly cooked. They took one hour and 20 minutes to prepare a straightforward order without any changes. Customers were leaving due to broken promises by the employee who was working up front (she gave the impression that she is a manager or owner, but I was told that she is an employee). They are not enforcing COVID-19 protocols, including checking vaccination proof. If you don't have proof of vaccination, then no worries. We will never eat at Aji Sushi Issaquah again. Very disappointed.
Phenomenal dishes. The tempura mix was light, crispy, and the veggies and shrimp were not overcooked. The roll was a lot bigger than I expected. I was concerned about how expensive the nigiri was but all was forgotten when i saw the size of the slice of fish. And it was delectable!I went for lunch, and I want to go right back for dinner!
I should have only gotten one roll, but I was not expecting them to be as filling and massive as they were! The rolls were fantastic and aesthetically beautiful, but the service was even better. I can count on one hand the number of restaurants I’ve been to that have had as impeccable service as this Aji. If I lived in the area instead of just visiting, this would hands down be my go to.
Came for lunch and no one was truly here. The lady really look at our temperature when we strolled in. Each body there wear gloves and veils, following CDC rules. The lunch menu was not as insane costly yet it has loads of choices. The inside has an exquisite energy to it. The seat is pretty much as agreeable as each body said. Aji Dynamite roll was such an explosive! The shiitake mushroom roll is too little as I would see it at the cost that we needed to pay for, however the leader said that the roll is little. I imparted this to my beau and it was the perfect sum. Additionally, they served us miso soup and hot towel for us which is an exceptionally decent bit of friendliness.

After a long day of shopping we stopped here for dinner before making the trek back over the pass. The host greeted us promptly and politely with a warm smile and a promise to be seated quickly. There was a slight problem that arose but she did everything that she could to rectify the situation. We were seated within minutes and attended to immediately. The restaurant was very busy and our waitress informed us that the sushi bar was running behind on orders. Everyone in our party has been in the service industry and recognize the stress and responsibility that comes with it. We decided to order both sushi and hot food despite her warning. Our hot food came quickly and was absolutely delicious! However, the sushi we ordered took much longer than even she expected. The staff was very apologetic and accommodating throughout the night. We were exhausted after the long day and we decided to go without the sushi we had ordered and head home. Our server brought our check right away and apologized profusely again. The staff wished us a good night and couldn't apologize enough! Overall the atmosphere was amazing and the food was awesome! If we had more time, we wouldn't have minded the wait at all. We will be returning when given the chance!
Awesome place. Very friendly staff and the food is delicious. I usually get chicken teriyaki and gyoza, and it’s very, very tasty!
Great service, awesome sushi. We got the rainbow roll and 3 sisters, both were good, excellent presentation. My fave was the chi radio. If you like sushi, come here, they know what they’re doing.
