Service was good. I had the Nachos with the Al Pastor marinated pork. I was expecting pulled pork (not diced), and was quite disappointed. The diced pork had the consistency of pencil erasers. I have never had diced pork on anything. I ate 1/3 of it, took it home, then put it in the trash. My wife said I should have sent it back, but I guess it was my mistake for assuming. Maybe they’ll read this and give me a replacement meal. I doubt it.
Was visiting from Austin and went there for a couple drinks. My buddy who lives in the area absolutely swears by their margaritas and I he wasn't lying. Top 5 margarita I have ever had and this is after being in Texas for almost 20 years. The key is they keep it simple with high quality ingredients: fresh squeezed limes (no mix!), Agave syrup and quality tequila. Did not try any food but had a chance to talk with some of the regulars and they raved about it. Heard the owners mentioned by name by almost every patron at the bar which always signals to me this is a restaurant whose ownership is present with their customers and has built a loyal following.
Called on Sunday (2/13) at 8pm to make sure they were still open and see if there was any wait (hours said open till 10pm). We just wanted to double check to be courteous. They told us they were open and there would be no wait for 3 ppl.Arrived at 8:15pm and immediately were immediately accosted by a very angry employee. The restaurant seemed somewhat full however he said they would be closing in 10min. When I mentioned that their listed hours said until 10pm he just said “COVID!”I come here about once every two weeks and often spend at least $100 between the 3 of us. The service has always been fairly rude, however the amazing food made up for it in the past. But after this experience, we won’t be back to this location or the others in the future.
First time here and loved it. I wanted to try everything on their menu! Service was great. Food was fantastic. The only dish we didn't like was the fried ice cream. It wasn't his at all. Wish there was one closer to Bothell. But definitely worth the drive. I rarely give a restaurant 5 stars. But this was will deserved.
I am truly addicted to this place, LOL. I've been coming here for years, since I get my hair done every other month just down the road, and my stylist and I would go out for drinks and dinner afterwards. My goodness, I love this place. The drinks are wonderful, the bartenders are always great and fun to chat with, and the staff is attentive without being intrusive.Food wise, my current go-to is the chicken tinga taquitos with the jalapeno cheese dip (with chorizo, yum!) and maybe even a cheeky chicken tortilla soup, but I've at least tried a large majority of the menu. Despite Agave having several restaurants in the Seattle and Eastside area, the cooks here are just built different. Everything I've tried over the years has been fantastic, and they do quite well to make the various flavors complement one another, and any meat dish is always cooked perfectly without being dry, and never bland. All that being said, however, I really cannot understate the masterpiece of an appetizer that is the jalapeno cheese dip. It is my kryptonite, I just can't stay away! The option to throw in some chorizo just brings it up another level. Myself and my entire friend group can agree that is our favorite starter dish there. Absolutely order one if you can!Overall, with the combination of friendly service, great drinks and great food, Agave Issaquah deserves to be an absolute staple!
My son and decided to get some food to go. Ordered two seafood enchiladas with black beans and refried beans one each with rice. Also some mushroom and spinach quesadillas with came with tortilla chips. All very tasty and ready to go quickly.
BEST Mexican food in Issaquah!!! Great tequila selection, fabulous food and the friendliest staff ever. A must visit on Eastside!
I've eaten in and taken out of Agave many times with my family. We have always been super pleased with the food, drinks, and atmosphere of the restaurant. Nice indoor/outdoor seating. The portions are good and super tasty. Highly recommend the nachos. Whenever we take out, food is bagged nice and organized so the quality is maintained which I appreciate.
Food is tasty but ordered pick up for 3 adults and the servings are a joke...we got enough salsa for a single person to have a few bites, small bag of chip, and steak fajitas that barley fed my husband. Got completely ripped off for the price we paid. Extremely disappointed.
Reasonably priced eats and drinks that were quite tasty. Professional staff. Bacon-wrapped jalapenos were delish. No pics because they were that good!
