Had a great experience! Our waiter was very attentive and the food was a nice large dinner portion. Best service we’ve gotten in a restaurant in a long time! Delicious food too. Yum
Last night, ordered new York steak WELL DONE, when it was served to me I cut a piece, and it was blood red on the inside, they cooked a new one, took twenty minutes, but it was cooked as ordered. Tonight my wife ordered the same thing for takeout. Went to pick it up, and after the cashier slid my card six times told me they were having trouble all day with the machine... I had my wife go up the street to Albertsons and get cash..Got home with the steak, same freekin bloody steak.. I'm done with this place.
Unfortunately our lunch was just not what you would expect at a standard Mexican restaurant and not what we'd experienced a couple of years ago. Absolutely no flavor, both of our burritos were mostly rice and beans. The pork carnitas was grey. It's hard to mess up Mexican food, but they did. No offer of more chips and salsa or a refill of our sodas. The restaurant also had a damp musty smell that we hadn't noticed before.
My wife and I got some MONSTER margaritas. I had one of the best wet burritos I have had in a long time, and my wife had the combo with 2 enchiladas and 1 taco. We both left VERY satisfied. The staff isn't pushy when it comes to checking up on you, but also ensures your drinks are always topped up.A must visit if you are passing over the Tacoma narrows and are craving some excellent Mexican food.
Parking lot was almost full, so I got a little worried, but despite this we got served in 1-2 minutes, then a few minutes later we ordered and got our food, it was delicious. And it wasn't to expensive either.
Waited most an hour for anyone to come to our table even after we asked for a server. The food was super bland and my burrito had brealy any steak and filled with onions. Not going again
This restaurant is truly awesome. The service is fast and courteous. The food is very tasty and we were treated with excellent service. The beer was ice cold, which was a nice surprise and the steak was superb. Highly recommend it.
We celebrated Christmas Eve with Puerto Vallarta and they did not disappoint. We love the salsa and bean dip they bring to the table. Also order the sizzling fajitas! The service was attentive and exceeded our expectations for a party of eight. Thanks Puerto Vallarta, see you next year on Christmas Eve.
Tried a couple of other restaurants in Gig Harbor for Mexican food after moving over the bridge from Steilacoom. Puerto Vallarta is hands-down our favorite. Extensive, delicious menu choices, fresh made flour tortillas (see them being made when you walk in the front door), and attentive and friendly staff make this place worth the visit!
Good solid American style Mexican food. Chips before meal, homemade tortillas, lots of cheese and rice and beans. Better than most.
