If you live in gig harbor. Never never never never go to Nagoya again. Nagoya is like teriyaki for kids and happy by the bay is teriyaki for adults. Twice as much meat. It's actually charred lol. Not smothered in teriyaki sauce that taste horrible like Nagoya. Go to happy by the bay. You will never eat Nagoya again. BELIEVE ME....

Amazing food,Large portions, efficient and great hospitality.Door Dash from them is quick.Family business.

No wonder this place is the lowest rated teriyaki place in town. I placed an online order, paid and drove to pick it up. As I walked up I noticed a sign saying Bubble Tea so i planned to order one. They guy working wearing the 49er mask is an absolute GEM, his customer service is awful, when I asked what flavors they had, he didn't even look up to acknowledge me, he pointed at the menu and kept doing what he was doing. I was so taken aback by it I said nevermind about the bubble tea. I know it's not a huge deal, but the absolute lack of any kind of personality is just insane. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place, and I'll NEVER be back. Literally every other Teriyaki place in Gig Harbor trumps this dump.

Ordered chicken teriyaki, chicken yakisoba, and gyozas with a third party delivery service and it was a whopping $65!!!! The food is decent but definitely not worth the $17+ plates. Not to mention they also charge extra for salad because they don’t come with the meals if you carry out? Why the outrageous upcharges?! Literally charging double the price is not ok. That’s taking advantage of people.

I had a late lunch here. I went with the basic Chicken Teriyaki and I enjoyed it.Served with rice and a side salad. The salad dressing was tasty and not too heavy. The Chicken Teriyaki was a generous portion. The chicken strip in Teriyaki sauce was delicious. And enough Teriyaki sauce left over to dip the steamed into. The price was great for the amount of food and soft drink. I recommend Happy at the Bay Teriyaki!

So I order 2 spicy chicken teriyaki’s. Hence “spicy”The gentleman, that took my order, ask what level of spiciness would you like. So I order one of them a number three spicy level, and the second number five spicy level. Well I was charged extra for that. How come it was not disclosed to me? At the time ofOder I ask? He’s like, oh it’s been like that for 4 years. Do I care?I understand you wanna make an extra buckBut then what is the purpose of me ordering a spicy teriyaki from the beginning??? Last time I been there!! Won’t ever step againAnd if you see a customer who is upset, make it right, make it right to the customer comes back, that would be me

needs to be raised to 3 $$$ rating... $17 for fried rice without meat? Teriyaki used to be a good value meal, these prices are just silly

The Yakisoba was fantastic. Large portion size and it tasted as excellent as my friend’s mom used to make (she’s Japanese). Also, waitstaff was very affable. I’ll definitely be back!

Fast service and they never short you on meat. Love this place.

Great food and fast service! Love their tofu options
