Fun and different. I had never been to a place like this. We got the beef and seafood platter ( they say it’s enough for 2 people ) but it’s really good for 3. The staff was friendly. The platters come with a variety of things to boil. It is very fun to make your own creations and figure out what you like or don’t. I wouldn’t recommend getting the seafood platter, boiling fish, scallops and mussels doesn’t taste the best and it’s hard to tell when they are fully done or not. That is personal choice though.
Really good food!Went there today, Saturday around 1PM. The place wasn’t packed so we were seated right away and didn’t wait too long for food. We ordered the fried tempura, teoppokki, and beef combo with bone broth soup. And for drinks we got the calamansi juice (with Sprite) and the Dalgona milk. The tempura is really good, as well as the teoppokki. Also, the soup was perfect for the weather. They give you peanut and soy bean sauce that you can mix with soy to season to your liking. And the combo comes with 3 different types of noodles and a lot of vegetables. We ate most of the order but still were able a full serving to go! The drinks were good and the Dalgona milk went really well with the spicy teoppokki. For dessert we got a 5-piece box of their macaroons with a huge variety of flavors that you can choose from and those are really good too.Overall I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely love to go back!
I like this place because let me tell you why. Their service is sometimes slow and aloof, but their meat is sliced thin and I like my meat sliced thin as thin as they slice it. It cooks fast. Their sauces are tasty. Their selling point is their thinly sliced beef. Oh. I said that already. It tastes good with the vegetables they give. Their vegetables are good too. I'll give them that. So I hope you know what's good here now.
First time dining at this restaurant and at this location. The service is great and the food tastes good. I tried dipping the meat into the Ponzu sauce for the first time and liked it. They have macarons, cakes, cake rolls & other pastries.
I came here with two of my friends on a Tuesday afternoon when it was slow and the lady there was SUPER kind (I think she was the owner). We loved the restaurant set up and the atmosphere are so nice. She told us how to add the ingredients and gave us extra noodles and veggies! We ordered the spicy hotpot and tteokbokki and they were both delicious! She also checked up on us and offered us dessert for after the meal. When we were paying we gave her the tip and she said that it was too much and gave us each a macaroon. She was so kind, she didn't have to do that, but the macaroons were delicious too! Would definitely come back for the food and for the service
I absolutely enjoyed eating at Shanu Shabuya. The beef was amazing and melted in my mouth. I love watching my food being cooked in front of me. Very appetizing!
Great food. Server was great explaining our options and letting us sample the different broths for the soup base. We went with beef broth and next time we will try the vegan broth... We will be back...
My friends and I had a great experience at Shabu Shabuya. Quality ingredients, clean and friendly fast service. Plenty of seats and parking. Price is good- would highly recommend and would definitely go back again!
Hot pot meat/veggies( order the spicy broth) arrive quickly and in abundance, this is a good place on a rainy day. Also, there is a Boba tea/ bubble waffle place next door
Came here with the intention of waiting, but no line at 6 pm on a Friday. This is more of a Korean inspired hot pot. The spicy broth was very tasty along with the dipping sauces. Meat and vegetables were just the right amount and fresh as well. The only thing is that the broth got too salty near the end, I needed to add water to it to dilute it. But other than that it was very pleasant. I did like that we had our own pots with the right amount of broth. Server also refills the broth as time goes on too. No fuss place, for sure. I’ll definitely be back. (Photos are foggy because of the steam)
