Awful salad…Extremely dry, over brined, grilled chicken. Lettuce was too thinly chopped, bit of carrot, 1 tsp cucumber. Warm noodles on a salad? Tasteless/worst peanut dressing. Un-accommodating service during computer checkout.
Both times I’ve been here, I’ve received good customer service and the food was always tasty. I ordered the combination pho and added seafood which is not on the menu but they were willing to make it for me. It was a little sweeter than I would’ve liked but I think it could’ve been the hoisin sauce that I added. The fried pot stickers were so good, I didn’t get a picture of it. My son had the beef yakisoba, which he inhaled, so I didn’t get a picture of that either. My husband had the beef pho, which he also inhaled, but I think it’s safe to say they approved. Overall, It’s a nice private place to eat if you want something quiet and intimate.
The broth has a meaty flavor to it which is definitely different from other broths that I've tasted. Also had a pork vermicelli dish that had a hint of lemongrass in it. Overall would definitely come back here again.
The service here is extremely rude. I moved here 3 weeks ago, right down the street, and have been here 4 times. The first time the woman came up to me and demanded my vaccination card (I think she is the owner). This requirement was not posted on the door. I happily gave it to her and ordered. She was pretty cold from the start and seemed annoyed I asked if she had a pen I could use for a second. I then saw her walking around with no mask on serving people food. The door clearly says you have to wear a mask when entering. I also thought that it was weird since she had asked for my vax card, which is not a law, but masks are by law required in restaurants when walking around. The second time I came a different woman was working and was very nice. The third time I came it was the rude woman working from my 1st visit. I ordered a drink to start. I started feeling sick to my stomach, so I went up and asked if I could order my food to go. She seemed extremely put out that I asked to order my food to go. Even though my drink was already being served in a to go cup and I had not even ordered food yet. I was also the ONLY person in the place. After I paid and tipped 20%, which is my standard tip, she then said she was sorry I was sick—but only after she saw the tip amount. I came in again today and they have this sign asking you to sanitize your hands at the door. I get it, but it really just feels like an unwelcoming environment right off the bat. The same rude lady was yelling to me from across the restaurant and wanted to sit me at this tiny table for 2 with a chair. The restaurant is very small and 85% of the tables were empty. I understand wanting to keep the 4 tops open, but there were so many of them available and it was 1:30 in the afternoon. I have also never seen more then 4 tables in this restaurant at one time (even during peak hours). I asked if I could please sit at a booth instead, as there were 8 booths empty. She was like, “you can sit at that small table,” the one I just asked if I could move from, and basically turned her back on me. So, at that point I left. I am not going to continue to give my money to rude people. The food is overpriced for what you are getting. You can go down the street and get a vermicelli cold noodle bowl for $5 less at Pho My Cau 2. I was giving this restaurant a lot of business in a short amount of time, I tip well, and I am polite. It was convenient for me and I like supporting my neighborhood. I love Vietnamese food. I lived in Vietnam for a year. There are plenty of other places to go to that have more authentic food in the area, I lived in S. King county before, that I’m sure can manage to not be so off-putting to their customers. This was far beyond having an off day. I am not going to deal with rude people that do not value the people that pay their bills. Do better Pho Tasty!
I’ve tried this place four times since it opened and have never been disappointed. Pho (chicken and seafood), vermicelli (chicken and seafood), spring rolls, egg rolls and fried rice dishes have all been very well made, full bowls/plates. Haven’t dined in yet, but the place is very clean and maintained
Made a take out order. The broth was flavorless and cold, they didn’t include the sweet chili sauce for the fried tofu and the bread for the banh mi was stale. Very disappointed and half of our group threw the food away bc they couldn’t eat it. Will not be returning.
Combo pho and my go to appetizers, passion fruit drink. So good.
Had a take out order and the beef broth was tasteless no flavor, it’s like you were drinking warm water. Do better on your beef broth please.
Best Pho and appetizers…especially the spring rolls
Very yummy food! We love the roll your own spring rolls! I tried the pho today for the first time and it was so delicious!
