Burgers here are great. At least the ones that I have tried. This was the samurai and it was big and delicious. I also really like their crispy 12 spice fries, even though they seemed a little spicier than normal today. Their honey miso dipping sauce helped with the spiciness, and they have quite a few other dipping sauces as well. One of the ladies was cleaning down all of the surfaces inside which also made me feel good about eating there. They also have a different brand of soda that I hadn't tried before, some kind of berry flavor and it was great. I feel like it's a little over priced, but the service and food was good enough that I didn't mind paying a little extra.
This is a type of place where you stand in line and ordering from. Hamburgers were delicious. The buns were from a local bakery. You can order your fries with a flavor, sea-salt, nori (roasted seaweed flakes), curry, or 12 spice. Served with 1 sauce on the side. There were a few options I don't remember them accept the wasabi sauce. It's a mild wasabi flavor and not very spicy, great on the fries. They have a soda fountain with some good soda selection. Sorry forgot picture. I had the Wabi Wasabi: Local natural beef katsu, pepper jack, wasabi mayo, tonkatsu sauce. With a side of fries with five spice seasoning.
Last night I tried this place for the first time and ordered the Tokyo Tower. It was very good but not quite complete to me. It was so good I decided to have Katsu again tonight but I ordered Mt Fuji. Until now the best burger I had ever had was at the Heart Attack Grill on Fremont in Vegas. My opinion has now changed. I will order another Mt Fuji tomorrow. This was the greatest burger I ever put in my mouth.
I thought anime-themed restaurants were just a figment of my imagination and after finding two of them I'm convinced that life is worth living after all. After looking at the menu and wondering if I was going to eat any of it, I ordered the Ninja Deluxe, and I inhaled it. I'm a messy goopy pile of napkins and katsu sauce and it feels so rewarding
Awesome and unique Japanese burger .. what makes it different, you might ask. The answer would be complex since so much is different. First off, it's deep-fried (your choice of chicken breast, boneless pork chop or beef hamburger), topped withshredded cabbage, optional bacon, cheese and their signature Tokantu sauce. Wow! Pair with curry-dusted fries and mayo dipping sauce. BOOM! I stock with the pork or beef, and it is always a WIN.
All the hype about this place is real!! I live in Tacoma but I go out of my way to get over to Federal Way just for this spot! The employees there are amazing, attentive, and kind. My words couldn’t do the food justice. If you’re looking up this place on google, go ahead and start route now and get on over here! And get the 12 spice fries.
I've been wanting to come here since my husband brought it up to me over a month ago. It definitely lives up to the hype. I had to order so much, because it all sounded so good. My picky toddler was eating my nori fries faster than I could. I also got the spicy burger and a seaweed salad. I already can't wait to go back and try more.
First time here and it was delicious! I had the Tokyo classic with sea salt fries and hubby got the Godzilla with curry fries. Their beverages aren't your run of the mill drinks either. We had some acai drink that was super delicious!
It's a unique place with different types of Katsu burgers. I liked it. It's pretty messy, but that just adds to experience. Definitely should check it out if you like Katsu anything.
I don't usually go for tall burgers (the kind you have to take 2 bites to get through), but this place is good enough to make it an exception. I also really liked their croquettes with the curry sauce. The croquettes and katsu burger were both crispy, just the way they should be.The service was also friendly and timely.
