Ivar's is my favorite Seattle area restaurant chain, and the one in Federal Way is the all-time best! I never visit without eating here at least once. It never disappoints. I was last here in January 2020 (IKR!) My meal was as terrific tonight as it was two+ years ago! I love the cod and to experience no variation in the taste over the years is the exact reason this restaurant is at the top of all the others. It's that marvelous consistency that makes me go out of my way to eat here! I brought four family members with me this evening and between all of us we had nearly everything on the menu.Thank you so much for being the best!
I took my Mom here for lunch. She is 81 and likes the scallops and chips.I was very surprised how fast the food came out and that it was very hot. After we finished, One of the staff came around the tables with hand wipes. This location seemed ro have it together. Well done.
It’s Valentine’s Day February 14, 2022 my husband and I @ 5:28 p.m.ordered from Federal Way the Commons got home to Lakewood 7:15 p.m. only to find out that our salmon Caesar salad dinner has NO salmon! tried calling the restaurant and they’re not taking calls so very very disappointed! $52 and no salmon! If they’re not going to allow you to dine in because of proof of vaccine status they should at least quality check and assure that your order is correct and complete!
Seems like portions are smaller than they used to be. My fish sandwich was pretty tasty. They're over the top about wearing masks and don't give you access to get your own condiments. Cashier was pleasant and attentive. Seating was tight & uncomfortable but I'm a big guy.
To top it off, the manager, who has worked there for years, is so friendly and courteous. Being a senior citizen, the discounts and punch cards are a special treat.
The fish fillets with small but cooked to perfection shrimp were delicious fries were slightly overcooked overall very good meal
I had forgotten how much I loved Ivar's fish and chips until I came. It had been so long. The portions of fish were absolutely ridiculously small. The 3 little slivers of fish was disappointing. But THE TASTE was THRU THE ROOF!! Even the tarter sauce was FANTASTIC!
Oh my goodness! The unmistakable and delightful smells of Fish and Chips wafted across the street, and I had to go for lunch! Very smooth transaction showing my vaccination card and ordering, and the staff is organized and friendly! The 3 piece Cod and chips was brought to my table piping hot, and delicious as usual, and the whole experience was wonderful!
Poor customer service. As soon as we walked in we said "Hi" to the worker on the dining room and "no reply" walked up to the cashier and said "hi" no reply. He was standing tall but had no power or breath left to say "hi".Food was costly but the quality was bad. Ordered a 3piece fish and fries and got 3 mini size pieces for a kids meal. Soup was warm and no flavor. Corn bread was more like yellow cake cupcakes not cornbread. It didn't even taste like cornbread.
