Great place! The spring rolls is the best ?. Plus the staff is super nice. Highly recommend.
U keep saying sorry about the previous owners about the food but they say the new one on alot of them and I agree the price went up u get less rolls wings etc and it cost more and is not better then hello banh mi . There's no fish sauce and u had it right when u opened and it wasn't the same . I am very disappointed with the quality and quantity. I don't see how this business is gonna make it if hello banh mi didn't . It was better . May be do to rent . I've been twice to the new one and 80 plus the old . Prob won't go back for the price and quantity. Can't just raise everything that the old had and plan on being better as well as giving less . May want to change the menu before the loyal people never come back again
Sorry to say but the banh mi was not very good. Bread was way too hard and crispy and sandwich was sooooooo freakin dry! I paid for extra pate and I got a super thin smear. I think the combo sandwich doesn’t come with pate either. I don’t know how anyone could enjoy these banh mi’s.Will definitely not order again.
We were so excited to try a new Bahn Mi place but were immediately disappointed. The pork bahn mi was not good after 1 bite. And the fresh rolls were not fresh at all..tasted very fishy and there was a bug on the romaine. Save your money!!!
Goodbye Banh Mi. It makes me sad to write this review, I used to love this place. The food and drinks were always amazing. We would eat here about once a month or more. Like others have said, they are under new management now and the quality has gone way downhill. I took 1 bite of my pork banh mi and had to toss the rest out. The flavor was awful. Unfortunately, won’t be going here again. Bring back HELLO Banh Mi!!
It makes me sad to write this poor review. I'm suspecting Hello Bahn Mi changed ownership / management after a recent "maintenance" closure. This has to be the case, because I cannot believe the quality would have declined so precipitously under the same team.We used to love our weekly takeout. The bread was always fresh. The pork was tasty and lean. That seems to all be in the past now. The bread has been stale our last three meals. The pork is downright weirdly bad.The flavor is almost unappetizing. It was dry, tough and chewy.I had given them several chances thinking that the first "off" sandwich was just an anomaly; it happens. But after today's horrible lunch, I can no longer give them the benefit of the doubt. I am truly disheartened.
I really like this place, even though it's a bit expensive. A foot long sandwich is about $9 but the bread is thinner so I'm not sure you're getting much more with extra $2. My go to is the beef and egg combo but it's hit and miss. Previous times they are great, most recently half the meat was gristle. They don't serve jalapeno so the sandwich was missing the kick that I'm used to. Don't get the Vietnamese ice coffee, they have never made it right. It either taste stale and bitter or candy water. Overall, underwhelming and unimpressed by the experience, and disappointed seeing that sandwiches seem to be the core of their small/focused menu.
1st- Delicious banh mi sandwiches! The ingredients for such a simple sandwich need to be fresh to stand out and this place, Hello Banh Mi, understands that & they have foot long sandwiches! (Also options) Pork belly is always my go-to and I'm telling you, it's good enough to write a review for.2nd- the spring rolls were so big and tasty that my brother and I individually questioned/inspired ourselves to learn how to make ourselves spring rolls in order to eat them everyday. Those spring rolls brought us to a better way to live. LolIf you like dark meat- I tasted something dark/fatty and it was subtly the best thing I've eaten recently.Such great food and experience.3rd- I fell in love with the interior decorating and thoughtfulness of aesthetics meets problem solving as soon as I walked in! They love wood detailing, interesting and skilled DIY, natural light, plants/flowers and I actually really liked the music too, plus they had a pretty strong AC/air circulation system- a bonus. I wish I could have sat for a coffee or tea but was pressed to eat on the go.3 reasons why I'll pop in every time I'm in that area, ?!
I've had the best Bahn mi's in the PNW and this place ranks among them! The bbq pork I had today was awesome! As a chef for more than 20 years, I rate this place a 9 out of 10. I'll definitely be back.
To be honest, this is the best banh mi shop that I have ever tried in WA so far. The staffs were very friendly and helpful to recommend me what I should try. I had the Grilled pork belly half food with extra meat, it is crunchy and has a delicious taste.Great food, good service I would recommend it to everyone
