This has been my go-to place for sushi for many years. The service has always been fine, albeit on the slow side occasionally, but nothing like I experienced on my most recent visit. It took nearly 1 hour to get our sushi order brought to our table, and during that time the wait staff only stopped by once to see how we were doing. When the sushi finally arrived, the quality was below what I have come to expect from this restaurant, although better than most. For the amount of money our party of six spent, I was rather disappointed.
it was my birthday, and we did not receive little to no service, what could of been and hour meal turned into us staying there for 2 hours patiently waiting for them to get our orders. they acted as though they were in a rush and ignored us even when they were looking at us and saw that we were ready to order. i tried being understandable but this was just bad. i also wished to grill it ourselves and they went ahead and did it in the kitchen, i was just really disappointed especially for the cost of 205 dollars of cold food.
Sushi bar is absolutely fantastic! Mr. Lee and lovely wife are the friendliest and freshest!!!
Fantastic family that runs this sushi restaurant.. been there 35 years .. very fresh and delicious fish .. love this place ♥️♥️♥️
This place had the best sushi I've ever tried. I really enjoyed all the combinations that we tried! We all ordered multiple rolls so we could all try a little of each and it was worth it! My favorite by far was the Rainbow roll, Also loved the crab cake and all the side dishes! Cool little place
Best sushi selection anywhere in Pierce and King Counties. And don’t tell anyone but the rest of their food offerings are also amazing. Support a local family business that treats their customers well.
Not a bad little spot for some pretty decent sushi the prices wasnt too bad and the quality held up I'll be back for sure

Akasaka has a great menu, with live tanks with different types of seafood like goeduck, abalone, spot prawns, conch, sol, and oysters. They have traditional private tables. I highly recommend this place.
It was great to have dinner at this restaurant, food is amazing and delightful we sure enjoyed it.
