I'm used to Texmex and this definitely doesn't come close. I ordered the queso profundo- listed as melted cheese with chorizo and pico de gallo. Well they didn't lie- it was a plate of congealed cheese with totally greasy and flavorless chorizo on top. People eat this? I also ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole- which was so overwhelmingly sweet it was nauseating. No other distinctive flavor- just sugar. The margarita was so so. If this is the best mexican restaurant in this city I feel really sorry for it's citizens. On the upside, the tomatillo salsa was good and the staff were very nice and attentive.
The burrito was okay? I wish it wasnt a wet borrito ...the sopapillas were hard and flat, the flan is plain... I asked for extra chips and I got a small amount and the green salsa was a jelly and sour? The 10$ apple tortilla things were just cheap canned apples in a tortilla and I gagged on my first bite. Disgusting food will never order from this restraunt again. The flan in the white cup is what they gave me. The flan on the PLATE is what I had to make myself at home.
Very good service. I think its still family run. Very consistent food. They can accommodate large groups in the back which is nice for family parties and such. Wish the food was a little lighter but it tastes good.
Our family has been enjoying this restaurant...food, drinks, great staff for many years. It seems that the atmosphere has changed in a bad way. I'm really not sure what's happened. It was disheartening to have to get staff attention to order our food, indicate we were celebrating a birthday (we had birthday gift bags) and again to get and pay for our bill.
Excellent little family-run restaurant. Solid and simple Mexican food. Good service and value.
Very tasty food. Shrimp enchilada was wonderful. They were out of crab so I substitute for shrimp enchilada. It was delicious. I will order again when they have crab. Dying to try the crab enchilada
Been coming here for years, mostly during the previous owner's time a few years back. Got food poisoning this afternoon. Didn't want a refund, just wanted to let my server know so that back of house could make sure everything was in order and no one else got sick. Instead they got defensive and called me a liar because I totally made up spewing everything in their restroom. "Uh, it takes hours to get sick. It must have been something else you ate" they said.Yeah, I'm not coming back.
Best plate of shrimp enchiladas I've ever had in my life.Good portion, perfectly cooked shrimp, and amazing sauce and salsa all for a very reasonable price.Go! Eat!
This is one of Everett's long time Mexican restaurants with a great local following with a good reason. The food is great and so is the service. The menu has something for everyone and the prices are good. Easy to find with lots of street parking available. Highly recommended.
Service is top notch, food is very good. This restaurant has been in business for a long time.
