This is a European style bakery. That simply means it has the right amounts of sugar. The cakes here are simply the best. Also, why pay $30 at Safeway for a garbage cake when you could get one of these for less. This is a "must try" place. So, good.They get busy so, pack the patience.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! they served people after me. All i ordered was some slices of cake to go. Cant help but wonder if my skin color had anything to so with my terrible service. Once i complained they did NOTHING to provide good customer service or to try and fix the situation.Response to Owner:You had your chance to provide good customer service right when the situation happened. You did NOTHING to try to rectify the poor service. That is why you get a terrible review. Next time you deal with a mistake your employee created, maybe provide good customer service even if customer is not russian or ukranian. I get it. Treat only the poeple you like well, and everyone else as second to them and eventually only the people you favor will be the ones that eat there...
Can’t help but feel like this restaurant is subconsciously racist. My husband (Filipino) and I went because we were craving cake. There was one couple in front of us and we waited for quite some time, which was understandable because they had a lot of questions for a party. After about 20 minutes we were finally ready to order a piece of cake to go, the cashier asks us if we can let the Russian man behind us go first because he just wanted to get some cake. We said no because we also just wanted to get a piece of cake and we had the next in line waiting for more than 20 minutes at this point. He then reiterated how he could serve that customer very quickly and then get to us and I firmly said no we will pay we’re ready now. Once we were firm about it the cashier apologized and rang us up. We completely understand having to wait, restaurants get busy. But trying to serve others who came after us and then after having that experience and then coming here to leave a review and seeing that other people, who happen to be POC like my husband, experienced the same situation makes me extremely uncomfortable for my husband and other customers in the community. Do better.

Best bakery I have had in this area. Worth every penny. I am so glad that I find this bakery. It is now my go to place for cakes and sweets. I especially love the peaches and nuts.
Everything here is amazing. I recommend the Volcano cake, it's the perfect amount of sweetness with the sour cream frosting, some tart cherries and walnuts...I can't get enough of it. Their borsch and other savory foods are delicious too. I want everyone to know about this cafe! Russian desserts are so underrated :)

I enjoyed the borscht here. My daughter really liked it and she is 2 years old, picky girlie. So if she liked it i am sure others will as much.
