Decent food, & good service.Just stopped in for a snack one afternoon. This was the first time back since the pandemic. Warm (adult) atmosphere, with better acoustics than you'd think using the industrial look (concrete floor and unfinished ceiling exposed pipes etc.Food was good; albeit the chowder seemed microwaved vs. out of a pot.It was their recipe though and very good. Other items were great. Fries were outstanding. Bar & wait staff were attentive, but not pushy.Overall. I'll be back.

I waited a bit for this review of The Hook in Edmonds. From the outside it is unassuming. It is a normal strip mall eatery, looks are not everything and it is often said do not judge a book by its cover. In this case that is very true. The Hook is primarily a neighborhood destination. The service, top notch, it has that "Cheers" feeling I wholeheartedly expect Diane to come out of the office. You are greeted by an open floor plan which leads straight to the bar after entering the main door at the North end of the building. The bar itself is a square island oasis of well crafted libations, I am fond of the Bourbon Smash. The food. OMG does not cover it. Well prepared to near perfection. The Hook Seafood Salad is a go to dish though I am currently working my way through the various entre menu. Each time I order the Seafood Salad I am pleased with the care and understanding the preparation of sea scallops, never have they arrived over or under cooked. This is a skillful balancing act from the kitchen staff. I could go on but I strongly encourage you to visit The Hook for yourself. As an added bonus when Helen is behind the bar the room just has a little more energy. This is not to take away from others, it is to highlight Helen

Honey something salmon, was delicious like salmon candy. Yummy. Mussels were mussels, and we ate them. I loved that they had Beignets. Those were good. I think the only thing that was very off putting was the lack of separation between the bar and the tables. The ambience was that of a cafe It's definitely not a date spot, but if you are headed out with your grandparents or friends with a family, this is your place.

Server was super sweet and helpful with helping me pick! Bathrooms and dining room clean! Food and beer was amazing, served fast, fresh and hot!!!

Prior to this week I would have given 5 stars. Bartender is awesome...he's very attentive and just an all around cool cat. Food is top notch. Menu is fun because there are constantly specials on a separate menu. I'll go in with something specific on my mind and then they throw down the specials menu in front of me and I end up conflicted as everything always looks so appealing. They just lost a couple of stars, though. I showed up this last week and found the place to be closed with a sign on the door stating they were closing for a week for my, and their staff's, health and safety. By that logic, the place should just close until Covid goes away altogether. Closing for a week did nothing. Do you not remember 2 years ago; "2 WEEKS TO SLOW THE SPREAD"? How'd that work out? Covid is the new normal, folks. Unless everything is prepared to close indefinitely (and not even then), everything else is just lip service in the face of this thing.Reputation is more important than profits. Close your dine-in and relieve that staff, but why not keep your kitchen open for to-go orders/deliveries? Now, it's on my mind that I may show up there and find the place arbitrarily closed. So, that forces me to have a back up plan or just choose somewhere else from the start.

I Love this place so much, we took friends here kind of far for us to go if you're not in the area. But we bragged about it! Seafood salad for me, fish and chips for hubby, friends had a gyro salad an penne carbonara. Everything was so delicious...Olivia was the greatest server and on top of her game. Think we have destination drivers now!

Good food. Good service all the time..This place is a gem for the locals. Not many are familiar with the Perrinville location. Fish n Chips w coleslaw is to die for and I don't usually like coleslaw.

The Hook is the one place my wife and I go to have dinner, just us. The food here has always been top notch since day one. The perfectly cooked calamari is what sold us initially. The magician in the kitchen was so damn good at cooking everything in the ocean (that's what I think I ordered) that it came out so perfectly cooked and at the exact same time as my wife's absolutely perfect steak and God knows what else we ordered the first night. We had it all. That was just the first time there.Every time since then, we have eased up on the over ordering. It's so hard though. Everything is so good. You must trust me though. Get the calamari. Your tastebuds will thank me later.

Service was so-so across the board. The food was good not great. Parking was plentiful and easy to get in and out.

We loved The Hook when they opened a few years ago, but the menu hasn't changed much; the prices, however, have. It's not cheap, and I suppose that's because they were closed during COVID. Sadly, the wait staff was more interested in the football game than working. We'll be back because it's close, but they need to retrain their staff. If their was another option, I'd happily consider it...
