This is one of the best restaurant in our area. Has consistent great service. Yes, like many restaurant during pandemic, wait time is an issue. Please do not listen to the propaganda driven postings by students of certain country. These kids simply do not understand difficulties of running a small Asian own business in America…keep you chin up Dumpling Generation! Best beef noodle soup in town!

I love the dumplings at Dumpling Generation. The workers pride themselves in making good food and have such a nice environment. I am Chinese and never felt any racism from the owner and the people who work there. I hope the other reviews can stop bullying the owner and her restaurant, because of an incident that started from a small group who were upset that they couldn’t dine in after 8pm. As an Asian with friends who are Asian as well, I always tell them to come before 8pm to respect the restaurant. They were always welcome to come before the 8pm deadline. Please can we have peace from everyone. Bullying and hating on others doesn’t solve the problem, it only makes it worse and hurt more. Also remember that there are other workers who work there full-time to provide for their families. It is sad to see people writing comments to break down a business when there are other individuals who need to financially support themselves.

Edited to add: I don't understand "people" who leave terrible reviews & then make it personal by questioning others' positive reviews. Everything out there is going to cost a lot more because of INFLATION & fast-approaching RECESSION. Instead of nitpicking price, be grateful these family-run businesses are still around, giving us authentic, great tasting food. I, for one, think Dumpling Generation makes the BEST soup dumplings & fried rice for the money ever. I'm more than full after.Better than Din Tai Fung. There. I said it. I don't know what's in the fried rice, soupy dumplings & dipping sauces, but count me in.They cut breast of chicken in strips in the fried rice that look like noodles. No sinew. No cheap cuts.Best I've ever had. Unique, vegan-friendly dishes & attentive, personable staff, too.

First time going here. The pork buns were HUGE and delicious. The shrimp pork and chive dumplings were hot and juicy. We also got the chicken chow mien. Normally I don't enjoy chicken in my chow mien because they're such big chunks, but they actually cut the chicken to smaller portions so you can get a little bit of everything in each bite. We had a wonderful time, thank you :)

Had the opportunity to try some noodle soups and dumplings here. I wasn't blown away, but I'd say they're a bit above average. Nothing crazy, but tastes authentic and genuine as in there's flavor and it's not overly done. Flavor is mild and easy to get into without exaggerating any element.Braised beef noodle soup - pretty authentic beef noodle soup! However, like mentioned above it's a bit milder on the flavor. The broth is slightly salty and not too rich, it would be better with some other aromatics or green onion. Broth could benefit from more time with bone and beef. Beef was tasty and noodles were average. Overall, could use more vegetables.Seafood noodle soup - broth here was much richer, a bit creamier. Made some sense and there was more overall content inside. Two mussels, four small shrimp, scallops, and an abundance of vegetables. One of the better, heartier items for a meal but could still be better.Pork & chive dumplings as well as the pork & shrimp dumplings were fresh! They're extremely hot and you're warned beforehand, so that's appreciated. Light soup inside, but it's boiling hot. I think the dumplings are the highlight which validates the name of Dumpling Generation. There are better dumplings at larger restaurants and chains, but this is a great spot for local dumplings that aren't dried out or tiny!

Edit: My bad, I misunderstood the sign; updated my rating. Thank you!Had the Pork and Cabbage Dumplings and Chicken Chow Mein. the Chow Mein was delicious! The dumplings were also good, but I wish they were fresh. The sign when you walk in says "dumplings frozen, pork buns frozen". I will return again!

We ordered braised beef noodles, pork and chives dumplings, and shrimp fried rice. My 6yrs old liked the dumplings so much we purchased 40 frozen dumplings to go. Only reason this wasn't a 5 star experience is because the prices are a bit higher than other places.

This place is ridiculously expensive. The 20$ beef hot pot is barely enough for one person, with a few slices of beef and some pieces of tofu and cabbage. We left with 60$ bill for 2 people and still dead hungry. Can't understand all these 5* reviews. Will never come back.

One of our favorite restaurants in Seattle and the greater area. Worth the trip no matter where you are coming from. Modest, comfortable, great value, outstanding food!! The green beans are the best I have ever had, I order them every time we go and I try to go frequently.

Delicious authentic Taiwanese style dumplings and dishes!! Their mixed noodles and cold spicy noodles are especially tasty. Definitely will be back for more!
