,Jackie at denny in edmonds isa friendly, efficient I give her a five star recommendation
I've been a self-proclaimed nightowl for years. (Family calls me a Vampire!?) I also used to go to Denny's for their $2.99 & $3.99 Grand Slams back in the 90s. It's a 24/7 safe haven for weary drivers or a "Fuel Station" for sleepy, can't-wake-up, Don't wanna go to work! need a hot cup of...'TIM HORTONS COFFEE'! (My Papa Jack loved it.) When the Pandemic hit, Their big Bright Yellow beacon of Light & Sustenance started to fade out earlier & earlier. I was so happy to see my Dennys, on 243rd & Hwy 99 in Edmonds, shining it's Beacon ⛾??☕??"OPEN 24/7! JuneBug...Come on In Girl & Gitchu some!" ?? The waiter was so cool. He allowed me to sit at a large table to spread out all my paperwork. He gave me space when I needed it. He even helped me decide on what to order...after about 20mins of drooling. * Their MENU even Bigger, H.D. pictures of their Entries. So the ONLY difference I saw was... the prices! $3.49 for a bottomless cup of Tim Hortons and a Grilled Turkey & Swiss on sourdough w/Seasoned Fries!
The service was not great. She was very put off-is kept forgetting our things. Waited a long time for our food when there was only 3 people in the restaurant. She said it was because of a lot of take out orders. I feel I am here sitting in your restaurant I should be takin care of.When the food finally came it was freezing cold. My crepes tasted like onions, when I was almost done I found some onions in my crepe. My crepes were strawberry.I was very dissappintes and do not feel I should have paid for my meal. But I did.I will never be coming to this Dennys again. I know that's a small Karen thing to say. But I'm just letting them know they need to step it up. What if I was allergic to onions? This would be more than just a bad review.
We tried three restaurants before Denny's. One restaurant's hours were not updated online and their phone number was being funny. One was too busy as the bar was open and smaller. One did not have a cook at that time.Out server was warm and gracious. The fellow patrons and staff also created us warmly and we made conversation. Our meals were fantastic. They were short staffed too.
It has been a while for my last time eating at Denny's, so i decided to go Denny's last week. However, it didn't went very well.First, it took for about one hour to get my food.Secondly, staff wasn't friendly. (Front desk is ok, but my waitress wasn't friendly at all).Thirdly, you have to pay in the front with your waitress, the default tip is 18%. I usually give 18 ~ 20%, but i just don't like this process....Fourth ....Denny's has a great history in the USA, but they definitely need to improve their service to meet up people's increasingly requirement.(Be friendly, Smile : ))
Nice people, good food, clean table. Reminded me of my childhood, Sunday morning breakfast with my parents. Reminded me of my young adulthood, Burgers after the club. So glad they're still a Denny's I can take my kids to!
I have eaten at Denny's on and off my whole life. The last few years I have been going have been aweful. The food is not fresh and no flavor except salty and sugary. I ordered Nachos and there was no melted cheese, to salty to eat. So I got eggs benedict, and it was super salty, the hollandaise was gross, the muffin soggy, the ham too thick and tough, and the hashbrowns barely cooked. This restaurant is only good for the bar it has attached to it.
My husband and I visited this Denny's to warm up with some hot coffee and some hot food. He got the T-bone steak and I got the Alaskan salmon. We are both diabetic so we did the low-carb thing and just got broccoli for the sides, but our sweet waitress brought some really delicious panini-style buttered toast and it was just perfect. Our dinners were prepared perfectly and the coffee was good, too. Our server was very friendly and efficient and we made sure to tip her extra well because, hey, it is the season of giving. Remember to be generous when you are able, especially to those who are working so hard in these difficult times.
My husband and I eat here almost every weekend. This location is so nice, chill, and friendly. We always have a great time. Also, I'm not really a "restaurant person" (probably cause I worked in a restaurant when I was younger for 5 years, so most restaurants stress me out hahaha). But this location is so nice and peaceful. I love eating here. But I don't think I'd ever order to go. I like the dine-in experience
Edmonds Denny's rocks! the Lynnwood location wasn't answering their phone so we tried the Edmonds location. we're glad we did. the turkey dinner was amazing! We did a to go order. They didn't forget anything. will be back very soon.
