Sushi is great, very fresh. Tnt roll and Mt Rainier roll were delicious. They had just gotten their liquor license the day before so all they had to offer for booze was sake. But they expect to import some great Japanese craft beer so I'm very excited to go back! I deducted one star for ambience. Harsh fluorescent lighting, not much in the way of decoration and cheap, ragged looking booths and tables. Also playing hip hop music very loud right next to our table which kind of ruined the mood. With some better lighting, better decor, and less intrusive music the place would get five stars. Food is great though so I will be going back and looking forward to some good Japanese beer.
WOW! I cannot say enough good things about this gem. The quality of fish is outstanding. The portion of fish in and on each roll is seriously generous. Each plate is made with such care and attention. The staff seem genuinely happy that you're there and that you're enjoying what's been prepared. Susan is lovely has served us warmly each time. The chef is kind and attentive. Just a really amazing little spot. It's actually hard to recommend anything because everything was so delicious! Will be back very soon!
Went here to have lunch with my mom on a day off and everything was so good. I had the Lion King roll and the cloudy sake. My mom ordered a veggie roll so they do have vegetarian options as well. The staff was very knowledgeable on the different kinds of sake available and it was nice to learn about the differences before ordering. The sushi was delicious and I would definitely come here again. 5/5 from us!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Tori Sake & Grill this evening. We had multiple rolls and combo bento boxes……..,everything was delicious. The service was great as well and we look forward to returning.
Very disappointed in our order. The Chicken Katsu And Orange was so dry we could not eat it. All toll cost us $43 . Will not order from them again and will not recommend. That was afternoon on Friday. Too bad
We had such a wonderful evening at the warm family owned restaurant. They put on a movie for my son, cut his sushi into bite-sized pieces, and made us feel right at home. We'll definitely be back!
The yakisoba noodles were fantastic, and the teriyaki chicken was somehow even better. I was only supposed to eat a half portion of the chicken but couldn't stop myself, which I hope says less about my own portion control and more about how good their food is.
Very tasty and a lot in each order. Really love the dragon roll and will definitely go again to try more of their good food!
Their yakisoba is the best I’ve had in years. Plenty of five spice flavors. My family also ordered spicy chicken, katsu, and chicken fried rice. All were well made and delicious. Will definitely be making trips back.
[Review for new owners - Tori's] I like the expanded menu so far - tried the veggie udon, salmon/jalepeno/ cream cheese roll, and spicy chicken teriyaki. The veggie udon was a generous bowl of udon in a flavourful peppery broth that I enjoyed. There was enough veggie in it to get some in every bite without having to ration it out. They have 4-5 different udon bowls, and I wish they had a NON tempura shrimp option. We loved the sushi roll we ordered so much, we got a second to go! It was fresh, made well so it didn't fall apart when you picked it up. The amount for the price was unbeatable for sushi lovers. There is no nigiri that I saw but would try it in a heartbeat (and if they decided to, I hope they'll have squid nigiri as well ?).The spicy chicken terriyaki had a deeper flavour that I enjoyed but not as much as everything else we got. They were still in soft opening, so their menu was still paper and incomplete (missing drinks) but they were friendly, service was quick, and I look forward to trying out more from them.
