Really good breakfast, big portions. A little pricy buy its a local owned business and it had good food so where can you go wrong?If you get the breakfast burrito, it is huge! I got it fried with a side of the Ranchero sauce and it was awesome with leftovers for the next day! My husband wasn't a fan of the French toast, will get regular toast next time.
Are you a fan of old school diners? Put this one on your list. It’s only about 10 minutes from SeaTac airport. Lots of egg dishes - sammies, Benedicts, pancakes… my wife got a breakfast veggie sandwich and she said it tasted “home made,” with Wheat bread, over hard eggs, cheddar cheese, avocado and pico. She chose hash browns and her plate came out very full. Since it was around $13, I pieced together several sides to make a meal for $10. I had two, very large eggs (made over easy like I prefer), English muffin and sausage patties. I stacked them up and put some of her pico on top. Delicious! Coffee was good, hot and served in a mug you’d likely find in your home cabinet. Ambiance was colorful, local folks who seemed to be enjoying their meals and time together. Each plate coming out seemed big enough to share if you eat light or are on a budget. Or take the rest home for a bonus meal! Wait staff was attentive and prompt.
Loved the atmosphere and service. Strawberry waffle was surely overpriced at $17. Everyone knows that's what kids want and a more reasonable option on the kids menu would be appropriate. The adult meals were awesome, and decent value. I'd have gone back every day I'm in Des Moines if I could afford to feed my kids. He would not go for the kids pancake breakfast.All in all, I'm still going 5 stars for the service and biscuit and gravy breakfast.
This was our first visit to Shelly's (we went on the recommendation of a friend who lives nearby). We had breakfast. I had two eggs, two bacon, one sausage, hash browns and toast for $12. My wife had the same but with pancakes and eggs. The portions were large and the price reasonable. The service was speedy, friendly and attentive. Our food came very quickly. It looked like a place that sees a lot of regulars, which is a good sign. We'd go back. Oh... they serve the entire menu all day.
First time here. Read the reviews and maybe share a breakfast. The staff is great and the food is really good, but...it is a lot. Worth a stop, for sure!
This is my favorite place to eat when my family is in town. Unfortunately cockroaches caused us to leave the restaurant before our food came out. The first roach was on the wall which my dad killed. We then found a baby roach in one of our water glasses. At that point we informed our waiter we were leaving due to the roaches. Please fix this so we can come back heartbroken!
We just happened to stumble across Shelly’s and so glad we did. Really cute place to have breakfast and the food was delicious. They seem to be busy for breakfast all the time so I recommend coming in early! Fair pricing for their LARGE servings :)
ZERO stars. No proof of vaccine required. This place is very dirty. Walls. Floor. Within minutes of sitting down and RIGHT after we'd ordered, a cockroach was crawling on our booth. A staffer quickly squished it with a napkin. After seeing that I couldn't eat. I will never be back.
I'm sorry this place looked so good that I told my husband I want it to give a shot but now it's 2:55 am and my husband and I we are awake because of food poison from here. We ate in Sunday, today is Friday and we still vomiting and feeling no good in out tummy. I really don't like to do bad reviews but this went too far. To clarify yes was the only place that we went to eat that day.
We came for breakfast awhile back. It’s very good comfort food, but the flavors were a bit bland. The restaurant was also a little unclean. However, staff were extremely friendly and very attentive. We will be returning. Maybe it was just an off day.
