Our son took us to Mclouds for Father’s Day. We went in the afternoon. There was a prime rib special at 3;00 but we were to early at 2;00. The owner told us eat the Rib Eye steak it’s off the same part of the beef. OK. It took quite awhile to get our food after we ordered. The portion size was good. The flavor was good. The service was fair. The bill had upcharges on it that we were not told about or saw on the bill not itemized so knew nothing about why there. It was only about $3 added to 2 meals each but I don’t like surprises. Reading the menu is very confusing also. In my opinion retiring from food service the quality and atmosphere didn’t match the price charged real well. A little tweaking of certain things could change that. I hope my son tells the owner to update his social media advertising so he can get more business. Also if you read this before you go. This is the wrong address and if it wasn’t for my son we wouldn’t have gone there.
Great food and service. Family friendly. Only downfall is that bingo is not nearly as good as it was with John. Can’t hear the caller, can barely understand her, she calls too fast and does not have enough variety in her games. Was much better with John and when trivia was on a different night.
Went here last night as a final stop for a friend's 21st birthday. I was surprised to find that there was a $5 cover charge to get in. I would have been fine paying that if the bar was actually worth it. The whole place smelled like a highschool gym, and it took way too long to get a drink. Bathrooms were disgusting, and the drinks were stupid expensive. Our friend was turned away because she arrived 30 mins before closing, which I understand but that was definitely a bummer as well. Over all it wasn't a good experience. I'd recommend going somewhere else, especially a place that you don't have to pay a $5 charge to be ignored by bartenders.
Best steak! Great atmosphere and very friendly service.
McCloud's is my casual dining go-to when I'm craving a Ribeye and last night didn't disappoint. Wife's gorgonzola steak salad was also excellent. Service has always been solid and sometimes outstanding. The burgers are napkin-up deliciousness and not for the weak of heart, literally. I'm happy to have the evening bar scene and music entertainment options too. Very Family Friendly during the day and early evenings.
Tldr: glad I went, would go again.Decided I wanted something more like food and less like garbage for once. Food was good, the service was good, the customers were having a good time. The decor was.. confused? It has a western vibe with a spattering of appropriate marine decorations (naval base around the corner + semi-coastal area) and they were trying to hide the modern stuff in the ceiling that didn't go well with the stuff under the rafters. But whatever, it works and it was nice to get out and be around happy people. Between darts and dinner it was a fun couple hours and a reluctant departure.
The food was great! Bartenders amazing! However we were sitting at the bar, had been there all night. Security came up and told us they were taking our chairs because it was getting busy. When I asked where do we go, the answer from security person “ohh you can stay here but you have to stand. It’s too busy to sit here.” Was a great night, turned into not so great. It was like being asked to leave. We were drinking so it wasn’t like we were just sitting there doing nothing not paying. 🤷♀️
great food and music tonight
All American Bar & Grill, whats not to like, friendly staff and customers! Ran in for a quick bite before the ferry, was greeted by friendly bartender and live music! got the coconut shrimp and chicken quesadilla, delicious! Will be back!
I have had better experiences going to the same place. I was very disappointed in the BBQ sauce that came with my ribs, it was more of a house made ketchup than anything else. There was no vegetables like the menu said it would come with, but the ribs were succulent and the bones pulled out without any issues the beer was cold and the music was unfortunately country, my personal issue. All in all it could have been better, but it was not bad.
