My experiences at Evergreen have been mixed, but I keep coming back so I guess that says something. I really want this place to succeed, so I keep coming back hoping they've gotten down a rhythm. I've gotten half a dozen or so pizzas, several orders of meatballs, salads, and a few pasta dishes over the last year and a half. 50% of the time I've been wowed, and 50% of the time I leave thinking this place is over-hyped and over-priced... usually because my pizza came out half-burnt (like, one half of the pizza is perfect, and the other half is almost totally blackened- clearly not a cook's preference and just a lack of attention). Sometimes it's because the pasta is over-cooked. I love the simple ingredients and topping choices, their emphasis on sourcing locally, the staff's enthusiasm and the fact that they're clearly treated well by the owners. I just wish the food was more consistent- especially when it's *so good* when it's good. I guess the meatballs have never disappointed me.
Great place. Clean, was well staffed, courteous and quick service. Sauces were wonderful, salad crisp and chock full of veggiedswith great dressing. Meat balls and sauce, the best, Pizza looked and tasted good.definately 5 stars
Have been wanting to try this place for a little while now and it surely didn't disappoint. We got the Beet Salad to start, which is big enough to share amongst 2-3 people. We then got three pizzas, the Spicy Rocket, the Sweet Sunset, and the Margherita. All of them were absolutely delicious and the crust is out of this world! Very excited to have these guys close by and can't wait til the next pizza night!
Great pizza for the area and likely the best I've had since moving to Washington. Also a great ambiance and a really nice view of the park. Pizza was thin crust, but not crunchy. Unique in its own right. Highly recommend if you're anywhere near.Downside is they don't open until 4pm, so I wasn't able to come in for lunch and had to settle for trying a different pizza place which was sub-par.
We tried this place for the first time tonight. Unfortunately, it was not a good food experience. The place is very cute and our waitress was very sweet and nice. But: the food was just so awful. Just like the other one star ratings, our pizza was burnt on the outside, raw in the middle and wet and floppy. I ordered a margarita drink and it was not good either: it tasted like lime juice on ice. So sad! I really wanted to like this place. The food is just so, so bad. So bad. We took home two pizzas to go and just threw it in the trash. Please do better!
Tried them for the first time tonight. Got the margherita. The pizza itself was much smaller than I was expecting and not very crisp. I was excited when I heard about their wonderful wood fired pizza oven, but really didn't feel the pizza was all that special. I know crispiness is an individual taste preference, but floppy pizza doesn't turn me on. The flavor was good and the cheese was nice and chewy. Not sure if I'll try them again soon, but likely will again in the future.
My unsophisticated palate isn't usually a fan of fancy pizza like this but this stuff was pretty dang good. Pro tip: get dessert from the gelato place downstairs FIRST, then get your pizza. If you get full, you can always take your pizza home with you.
Had a Girls Night Out with the besties. Amazing food, great atmosphere and most excellent, friendly staff!
This pizza is stupid. 5 stars. I just came home with 3 of them and I’m glad I’m not eating it there on-site cause I’d embarrass myself. It’s nasty icky good. Stinky illegal good.
Delicious food and cocktails and the waitstaff was friendly
