The food was reheated in a microwave type oven or something. The temperature of the food wasn't hot enough and the meat was very dry. We always eat at Dickey's Barbecue and this is the first time I've ever had an experience such as this. Other than that customer service was great. Also the beverage selection was between Sprite and Coke.
Most bland, dry barbque you'll find. Tried them a couple time, it was worse the second. Brisket dry. Coleslaw tasteless. Pork bland. Sauce basic. Waste of calories.
My family and I absolutely love the food, but wish they offered better portions. I am often left wanting more especially if ordering one of their meals for an individual person.
I ordered via DoorDash because I was craving some pulled pork, now, I’m from the Carolina’s, so I know good bbq when I eat it. It’s GREAT. Reminds me of back home. Definitely pricy but so are all decent bbq places in the south. Loved it. ??
I went to pick up dinner tonight from the Bremerton location. Upon arriving I noticed an employee (female) walking out the door and lit a cigarette right out front. I got out of my car and walked to the entrance. the employee threw her cigarette down and followed me inside. She turned around and she quickly said, "We don't have any pork or brisket." Then continued to walk behind the counter. I took a second to look at the menu and then noticed that she still hadn't washed her hands from smoking nor did she put a mask on. I decided to leave (disgusted). Why smoke right outside the main entrance of the restaurant? Why not wash your hands after smoking? Are employees not required to wear masks at this establishment? I won't be back, I was pretty grossed out.?
This is BOMB food. Clean place. Nice people. Eat in or take out
Tried this place twice in hopes that the first time I went it was an off day for them. But nope second visit was not any better. Spent almost 55 dollars on the three meat plate and well I would like to know where the meat was!! The portions were toddler size at best. The green beans were so salty I could not eat them. Charging what you do and the portions you get don’t match. I definitely won’t be coming back again.
Food is pretty good especially the sides. I had the pulled pork.
My family and I stopped in for lunch today and, sorry to say, I think Dickey's has really gone downhill. This was my first time visiting this location so I can't vouch for whether this was just an 'off' day or if it's always been this bad, but we were pretty disappointed after spending a whopping $68 (?!) on a deceptively small sandwich, kids' sliders, and a small plate. The [weirdly small] bun on my sandwich was on-par with McDonald's. Not much meat on the sandwich, and the bread was extremely dry. The roll that came as a side with my boyfriends meal, however, was like paste. Not sure if it was even cooked.... okay, the raw dough might have been nuked for a few seconds.Best part of the meal was the baked beans, which had good flavor. If you're feeling BBQ, it's worth the drive to go to Danny's in Silverdale. It's veteran-owned, and offers outstanding food in huge portions for literally half the price of this place.I realize COVID is making things tough on restaurants and don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I would probably never spend money here again. Simply not worth the astronomical price, in my opinion. Maybe you'll catch Dickey's on a good day.
The food is pretty good. They'll have an off day sure, but overall, it's good. However, they constantly leave things out of orders for pick up or delivery. So if you're not dining in, be ready to get the wrong thing or missing items.Response to Owner Comment: I am unable reply directly so have to update my review. It seems as though you didn't read my review because the problem is that my orders for delivery OR pickup are missing items all the time. Items that I have paid for. And we are long past the days of having to check orders. You've lost my business forever so there is no way to get an additional 2 stars from me on your rating. If I place 6 orders and 1 of them has a hiccup, fine- it happens (it SHOULDN'T happen, but it does). But if 5 of 6 orders are missing stuff, you don't get to steal my money anymore.
