Food here is very good, authentic tasting and good selection. Service is sometimes slow, but don't let that detoure you, this is the real deal.
The food isn't bad, it's just your standard Mexican restaurant stuff. My reason for the low rating is the questionable pricing. I was charged $14 for a house margarita...ok. Then came the extra 3% credit card surcharge, which was added before their default 20% tip calculation. We ordered a beer, a house margarita, a plate of nachos, and a fajita burrito with no extras/sides, and our final bill came to $78. The food would need to be a LOT better than it was to justify that price.
Delicious food. Great service. Small restaurant but it is worth it. Our server Georgina was very helpful and the rest of the personnel was very attentive. Definitely recommend this place to families. The atmosphere is also very relaxing. My wife and I came to eat here on a weekend and it wasn’t that full. Will be coming back to try some other dishes from the menu. I had the pollo macha and my wife the super nachos. Everything was so good. Oh and the churros are yummy. They are filled with cajeta I guess?
We were out with friends and they said they heard good things about Viva Jalisco. It was Saturday evening and we got in with no wait. Classic Mexican look and feel. The margaritas were large and the food was delicious. Tried the Carne Asada Burrito and was quite pleased. A hearty size and just the right zing of seasoning. Our server was friendly and checked back often. Prices were fair to the slightly higher side. The only odd thing was the booth we were in felt a bit small. But overall had a fun time, we'd come back again.
The night we went it was very busy. We were seated quickly and our order was taken right away. The wait staff kept our chips and drinks filled. The portions were large and we really had to complaints about the food. It was hot and had good flavor.
The food here was simoly amazing! What a hidden gem. I am still thinking about my meal. The depth of flavor!No where near where I live or work, but I willbe back because it was that good. ?
This place is awesome! My favorite are the enchiladas, chicken tacos, and burritos. The service is great. Everyone seems to be enjoying working there and the owner greets you like you are regulars every time.
The food was EXCELLENT! Server efficiency was not to complain about. But...we did not appreciate the vacuum being used while we are having dinner. A non electric broom for carpeting would do the job a lot quieter. We will go back though.
Food was ok, kinda try a bit, almost like no flavor on the meat. The rice was a little to sticky for it being Mexican rice, the beans tasted like it was from a canned refried beans. The drinks wer ok I don't know but honestly expected way more for what they charged. I wouldn't recommend.
Make sure to ask for you receipt if your paying with card. We were handed the Credit card Machine and then the server started pushing all these buttons and I had managed to see her press the 30% tip button, im not confrontational and she most likely would have gotten a 20% tip but she took the matters into her own hands and just told us to sign. Not going back
