Went to Sparta for the very first time today. All I can say is that their slogan "Best pizza in the universe!" is not wrong. Got my go to pepperoni and mushrooms pizza same as I do at every new pizza place I try and I was not disappointed. Amazing crust, not greasy at all and the cheese on the top was to die for. Tiramisu is delicious and homemade by the owner.Raina, out server was so sweet, knowledgeable about the menu and the business and all around a pleasure.Sparta had a life long customer in me.The picture is after we at and brought our leftovers home.
My family and I came here twice because the food is delicious! My husband really enjoyed his pizza, my son and I loved our order of the half & half- cheese ravioli’s/spaghettini and we nearly ate all the bread with the side of pesto sauce. Yum! So much to choose from on their menu! We ordered to go both times and the food kept nicely till’ we got back to our hotel.I was also impressed by the kind and friendly younger man who worked as host. He was very attentive to processing our order to our liking and even started a conversation with us which was pleasant and welcoming. They are very very tasty pizzas. I once tried to order extra cheese and the waitress told me they can't put any more cheese on them then they do already. So there's that. Also, it's a Danish mozzarella if I'm not mistaken. The cheese is so incredibly creamy and melty it will make you wonder why you ever went any place else. And to top it off, there is what I believe to be a kind of crunchy super tasty layer of parmesan cheese(?) which just takes it to a whole other level. I can't speak of everything else on the menu because after eating there for 20+ years I still haven't found a reason to order something else. Very fairly priced, clean, and the waitstaff is very friendly!
We live close by and ordered three entrees to go. When I phoned in the order, they said it would be ready in 15 minutes- that should have been my first clue. I ordered lasagna, my husband got fettuccine, and we got spaghetti for our son. The fettuccine tasted like bland milk sauce, but the worst was the lasagna. It was identical to the spaghetti but with shredded lasagna noodles... same sauce, same everything. The sauce had a weird taste, like too much nutmeg or something. No amount of salt could bring life to any of the dishes. I had pizza from here 20 years ago and thought it was a greasy pile of cheese, but thought, "maybe they've changed?" No. Still a tasteless grease pile.
We have found our new go to for pizza. Everything about the restaurant is 5 star- the food, the menu and the people.My mom has been sick and was in hospice. One of my cousins came up to see her. We ordered pizza in the evening and as I was getting ready to go pick up the pizza my sister called to tell me mom was gone. Well… I had to feed everyone so my cousin and I went to pick it up. I was warmly greeted by the person running cash register(I believe her name is Piper). She got my pizza and asked how my night was going. I told her my mom had just died. Without hesitation she tore up my receipt and said pizza was on the house. I was overwhelmed by her kindness. That just doesn’t happen and I was amazed. The pizza was awesome as always but the service and Piper are exemplary. This will always be our pizza place now.
I love this place. The pizza is delicious and the staff is beyond words. Thank you for making a bad day have a silver lining! Highly recommend this place.
Yum, Sparta's pizza is tops! Typically Sparta's Pizza has great service, but perhaps due to the pandemic, we recieved abysmal service from a teen front desk person who was unaccustomed to waiting on tables. With only 1 other table in the place, we had to repeat our order multiple times, ask for service repeatedly and were met with a ton of angst. It was a bit embarrassing as we had traveled a bit to get there, while bringing an out of town guest we'd assured would be amazed by their great pizza. The Sparta special pizza, family Sparta salad & cheese bread were a great as always, so we had that to redeem the experience! So 4 stars this time, typically 5, due to service.
I’ve been coming here since they opened in 1978! Spartas in Lynnwood is my absolute favorite place for pizza, Tiramisu and the creamy feta salad dressing, I love the thick pizza crust-kinda buttery, and the Danish mozzarella cheese which gives it a unique flavor!
Spartas never disappoints. I love several dishes but my absolute favorite is the baked spaghetti with meat sauce. Portions are generous and the meat sauce is just perfectly balanced. Must try if you live in Bothell area!
I've been going there for more than a decade. As the sign says 'Best Pizza in the Universe'. It is the only nearby pizza place I go to. Love the Danish cheese & love the sauce. Always delicious.?
