Prawns (chemmeen fries), malabar parotta(bread), goat chettinad (curry), Avial (vegetable stew), thalapakatti biryani
If you are looking for delicious and authentic this is a great choice… savory menu items and extremely hospitable. Can’t wait to eat here again
Best biriyani in Seattle. Try the Goat thalapakatti ..
Loved loved the podi idly, sambar and ginger chutney. The other chutney was lacking flavor. Mysore masala dosa and paniyaram were freshly made, felt the dosa could have used some more spicy. Masala buttermilk was very good. Coffee was warm so was not very happy there. But would definitely return for some authentic South Indian tiffins, also tried their chili onion uttapam which was amazing
Food is really good and different from your regular Indian menu. Service however can drive you crazy and we've fallen for it at least half a dozen times. We've waited for over 45 minutes at the restaurant on the top of the 45 minutes pickup time we were promised. So we've decided to only take out from Samburna if there is a couple of hours to spare. Please sort it out!
We ordered four items from the restaurant. Pakora was just full of gram flour, could not find a single piece of vegetable in it. The parata was nothing but a frozen one from the grocery store. Chicken had excessive amount of oil and spices. We only liked the uthappam and the host of the restaurant. It was our happy occasion but the dinner just ruined our mood. The food needs improvements.
Southindian and Srilankan Tamil Authentic food. I would like to prefer to visit and enjoy their great menu. We went there and enjoy they food like Masala dosa and sampurna special onion dosa and malabar parota and Methuvadai. Taste is incredible . My kids are enjoyed well. They told me that they wanna go again and having nice food there. I have enjoyed Parota and dosa and especially Methuvada(ullzhunthu vada) . It was amazing. We will go back there.
We ordered a takeout order of two chicken tikka masalas, one mild and one medium spicy. The dish was excessively buttery/creamy compared to many other Indian venues we've visited, which overwhelmed any spices or tomato that may have been added and resulted in a distinct lack of flavor and depth. Eating that much butter/cream really messes with your day too. Additionally, there was no difference in spice levels. As I've only ordered once from this restaurant, I can't say whether this is an exception, but we will not be returning. Otherwise, parking was adequate, and the person who greeted me during pickup was friendly.
Ok -- place was PACKED when we arrived and we were concerned since it didn't appear anybody had any food in front of them. Also -- TONS of takeout orders going on. However we got seated in about 10 minutes. Staff was very very pleasant. Had to wait about 10 minutes extra for food but not an issue because EVERYBODY had food coming out. DELISH food, on par or better with our other favorite Indian place. Staff made great recommendations. We eat Indian often and this was especially good with some unique choices. We will be back!BTW the restaurant is small so keep that in mind if you are hoping to just get a table with a larger party.
Absolutely amazing food! Highly recommend trying this place out.
