We had Aca Las Tortas cater our daughter's quinceañera and they did a wonderful job. We went with the owner's recommended dishes and quantity based on the size of our event and we had so much great food and horchata. They also provided all of the serving/dining products and to go boxes so that guests could take food home. Super easy to work with, great set up and delicious food!
I ordered for pick up so this review is only for the food we ordered. We had 2 Monterrey tortas, which I was excited to try out. The torta itself had good size, the bread was good, there was enough beans and the avocado was ripe and delicious. However my issue was with the carne asada meat. There was so much chewy ligaments and fats that I had to keep reaching into my mouth to take out inedible pieces. Literally 40% of the meat provided was inedible. After taking a few bites and having to spit out partially chewed pieces of inedible meat, I started to get grossed out, so by about half way I was just totally disgusted. It made me sad because I was still hungry and because the rest of the torta was great. It's normal to get some pieces sometimes but this had so much, it made you hesitate with every bite and not enjoy it. Giving it two stars because all the other flavors were on point.
First time ordering here and glad I did. They have a large and varied menu, my meal was delicious, generously portioned, reasonably priced, quickly prepared and the people there were very friendly. The food is authentic and may be a bit spicy for the unaccustomed - it's not Americanized, which I found wonderfully refreshing. Even the rice and beans were fantastic and it reminded me of the restaurants in Mexico where the locals, not tourists dine. Awesome!
Food is awesome, salsas take it up a notch and haven't had anything I didn't enjoy.
This restaurant should pay attention to the personnel hygiene practices and make sure the ingredients used are in good condition. The taste is good, but it is a pity that I got food poisoning the two times I have been in the last six months.
Authentic Mexican tortas (read sandwiches), huaraches, and everything is super tasty. This is the place we go when we my Mexican (from Mexico City) family wants to get dinner. The tortas have futbol themed names but don't worry if you just want to walk it in. They people there are great.
Really good they had a lot of meat ! I had the Madrid Fire would definitely come back !
Really good food and very sweet staff
Ordered online at 12:29 pm. Received text they were preparing. Text at 12:41 pm stating it ws ready for pickup. Arrived at 12:45pm. Not ready. Watched three tables of people arrive, order and get food. I didnt get my food until 1:17 pm!!!! It would have been faster to wait to order when I got there. Somehow it took longer to make my online order than 6 people's worth of food that ordered after I arrived?! Food is good, but experience was horrible. They should've comped me or offered something, but didn't. Disappointed as I used to go here often. They used to be $7-$8 per Torta, it was now 12.50 in store and 14.50 online to go.
Very frustrated with this places gave them multiple chances and all the times I've been disappointed. From charging me 5 bucks for a 12 ounce coke in my UberEats order, to always messing up my order and overpriced. Do yourself the favor and go down to street to La Sabrosa
