I have lived in this town my whole life and when I found out about this little nook of a teriyaki joint I was so happy with the taste! As time passed it started to get too popular and you could feel the stress on the kitchen and the staff and my crew took a break from the crowded location and only just recently did I stop by again only to see such delightful changes! The space looks inviting and neat, the staff looks more relaxed giving great customer service, and the food some how got even better!? I liked the food before but now I'm obsessed and in love all over again. 10/10 glow up.

I loved this place for many years, went all time. The old owner was a little grumpy but charming and while a little awkward it was never uncomfortable with him.But these new owners seem upset with me for giving them business. They won't answer the phone and when they finally do they make rude comments, the young woman at the counter acts like you are interrupting her just by trying to place an order. They keep raising the prices to absurd levels, now charging just for extra sauce. And they are updating the inside which is nice but it was fine as it was. All while their online presence is non existent (seriously try to find a menu with prices less than 5 dollars off current price)and they still can't figure out how to answer the phone. I thought the new owners were here to improve super duper, but instead they are continuing all the same problems it always had, fixing things that were not broke, and acting all the more entitled while doing it.It really saddens me to say, but I cannot reccomend this place anymore.Especially because the food is pretty dang good but it's not worth the pain to aquire

Super Duper offers great teriyaki that's filling and delicious. The service isn't great but it's fast and it works. Also they have complimentary miso soup which is always nice when waiting for your meal.EDIT: Super Duper has changed ownership since this review and so I thought I'd update. The new owners haven't changed the quality or taste of the food but they have upped the quality of service. The interior has also recieved an upgrade. Although the charm of the original hole in the wall superduper is gone it seems like superduper is in good hands.Oftentimes due to the popularity of this spot, trying to call in an order might be met with a voicemail but that's just a part of the experience ☺️

Got a bit hungry after spending time at Boulevard and came here.Called in, no answer, went in person. Ordered a chicken teriyaki and a beef teriyaki, total came to a little over 26 dollars. Waited 15 minutes for my order, got it and headed out.The shop is small, barely any sitting room when it was allowed, now none- employees literally running back and forth, counted ten people waiting for food at once, so clearly they're busy and doing something right. The food was good, literally just the container crammed with rice and meat. A single order definitely enough for two meals. Might come back for more if I'm in the neighborhood.

This place feels like home. This place got me through college. The manager is so hard-working and skilled — comes in almost every single day of the year and works his tail off — and basically feeds the whole town. If you live in Bham, you know this place, and if you don’t you will. Their chicken katsu is the best bite you’ll ever put in your mouth and hits different finals season. Thank you, Super Duper Teriyaki, for feeding multiple generations of students!!!

Came here 2pm on a Saturday, ordered quickly but the food took over 35 minutes. There were 1 or 2 people in front of me but this place is most likely understaffed.

We are so lucky to have this place! The food is so good and yummy. I really recommend!!

Very good Chicken Katsu. Impossible to call in an order

It is super duper delicious, classic fare and very good prices.

I hate coming here, but the food is good. Mainly the katsu sauce. There always seems to be large groups of college bros outside trying to act aggressive with all the passing customers. They’re like mini-bosses you have to defeat in order to earn your food.
