The food was great! We came for a dinner and there almost no free tables. The wait could have been shorter (especially when you are super hungry), but it was understandable due to full house:) would be great to have a tiny appetizer like bread+butter while you wait for the food, but even with the wait I give it 5 stars.
Dinner for four @ Storia Cucina was good, not great! Our server was terrific, don’t get me wrong, just the food was a bit disappointing. The Caprese Tigelle was terrific, especially for four bucks at HH, but the Homemade Focaccia was a huge disappointment. My experience with focaccia in the past has been one of a lighter color, airy texture, and made for balsamic/olive oil dipping. What I encountered @ Storia was a very dense, grey in color (almost non-appetizing) “heavy” bread that simply should have been a meal in itself, it was just tooooooo heavy. The meatballs were tasty and the pizza was ok, I just wish this would have been a 5 Star experience, (for a meal costing $185.00 for four) it wasn’t unfortunately.
The best Italian in downtown Bellingham! Great ambience inside and covered patio seating outside. We had no wait on a Friday evening for dinner. Our appetizer that was Cicotti Meatballs, which were delicious. Cooked perfectly! The cocktails were both amazing, The Jungle Bird (pineapple rum/hibiscus/Campari) and a Portofino (gin). The service was consistent and friendly. We were able to order and place orders within a reasonable amount of time. Our main dishes tasted great! The LUMACHE POMODORO, was very tasty and the ricotta on top was the best part. The pasta had a slight spice from the pepper, but not unmanageable. My partner ordered the CACIO E PEPE, which was delicious.By the time dessert time rolled around we were full, but the tiramisu looked bomb!We will definitely be back. They also have brunch!
Everything we ordered was delicious, bursting with flavor! The pepperoni pizza was amazing, and the rosemary focaccia bread was so good, especially with the buratta. The best was the pasta, with creamy ricotta in the middle to balance out the strong parmesan cheese sprinkled on top of the fresh-made pasta and tomato sauce. Everything was perfection, but we didn’t even have room for dessert! We were stuffed. 10/10 will come again.
The speciality drinks are amazing! Kudos to the mixologist! The El Machete has the perfect amount of spice and the flavor is so dang good. The kale Caesar is the best I have eaten, the salad dressing has just the right amount of acid and saltiness. The cacio e Pepe is excellent. Everyone (6) of us enjoyed our meals and will definitely make this one of our go to restaurants. If you haven’t tried this place, please do. The service is way above standard! Thanks for the wonderful meal experience.Oh, and it’s kid friendly. Butter noodles were a hit with the wee ones.
First time visiting here. We ordered brussel sprouts and they were delicious. I normally don't like them cooked because they are always overcooked. These were al dente but had a great crispy outter layer. The sauce was perfectly seasoned. I also had a small lake Caeser salad. We shared margherita pizza and papperdelle Bolognese. Pasta was great except the meat sauce was a little on the salty side. Pizza has a nice thin crust. Flavor was good. I highly recommend this place!
We just found this place. We came down from Surrey BC Canada and I must say some of the most authentic amazing Italian places we have ever been to. Great service, fantastic vibe and glad to see a restaurant pick a menu and absolutely nail it. I can't stand places who try to sell everything. Do what you do and do it well. This place will not disappoint. 5 stars all around.
Visiting Bellingham for a conference and discovered this gem. We came back 3x, it was that good! Especially the meatballs and buccatini. They make their own pasta right in front of you. It was easy to share plates. The staff is all so nice.
No other Italian place I've eaten holds a candle to this place. Exceptionally presented and it tastes even better. My whole party agreed. Very fair prices too -- better quality food than Olive Garden by miles for LESS. Drinks are very pricy though. Yeah, you gotta eat here.
The food is so delicious! Service is really good. Atmosphere is upbeat and relaxing.
