I've had many good meals and good service here over the years. The place definitely has character. I recommend not ordering anything that doesn't have a photo.Tonight, I did a takeout. The grilled chicken salad was a full chicken breast, ok flavor, cut and laid out on a massive pile of limp yellow lettuce, two slices of tomato. Very sad. The one burrito dinner was very small and disappointing. (See photo) Oh well.

Came in here last night with my husband, everything was delicious, the portions were way bigger than I thought they would of been. The waitress we got was very attentive and friendly! We will definitely be stopping by again.

Loved my fajitas and margarita! It was welcome, comforting food on a rainy day and there was hardly anyone else there. The woman who worked there was also very nice.
Authentic Mexican food, served by an incredibly friendly staff, same folks for years. Nothing fancy, including the prices, but awfully good.

Mmm. If you have travelled in Mexico, and loved the tastes found in off the beaten path local restaurants, family owned and run Sol De Azteca is the place! Non-greasy refried beans. Light and tasty rice. The hubby loves the Carne Asada here. We bring our grown kids and their families here every summer. Not West Coast trendy, the decor is hand painted and lovingly made. One of our favorite go-tos every time we are in Bellingham.
