I go here often and I love this place! The pork fried rice is my favorite but they have tons of options and I've never been disappointed trying something new. Prices are very fair for the amount of food you get. Service is pretty fast, they have pickup or dine in which is always a nice option. The restaurant is very cute and has a nice atmosphere. The people working are very polite and friendly and always thank you for business.
Would give zero stars if I could.Had to wait a long time for the waiter to get off the phone (personal call - not taking a order) to be seated. Soup was hot, good thing, but everything else was barely luke warm. I did not like hearing the microwave bell keep going off during my dinner. Why was my dinner being cooked in the micowave? I was the only one in the restaurant so I know it was my food they were cooking in the microwave. I had to keep asking for water. After dinner was done, I waited 1/2hr to pay only to have the waitress tell me that I had to pay at the counter. Food was mediocre at best. Do not recommend this place. I will not be back.
Can't beat the authentic Chinese family-run homey atmosphere, or the friendliness of Sam the owner/cook who personally will come out to see how you like your meal. The food is generally really good (not necessarily amazing, but always tasty and good!) but it's Sam and the genuineness of the place that really makes a visit there special. Prices are reasonable too!
I came in last week to try out because I love Chinese American food. Really disappointed on the food. The Mongolian does not taste like Mongolian beef at all. Just tasted like salted beef with onion. I also ordered sesame chicken as a combo which came with veggies. Veggies doesn’t taste fresh or good. The chicken was too sweet and the steam rice was just horrible. We also ordered popoplater and everything was greasy, cold and not fresh at all. I will not coming back here again. I gave 2 stars because the owner was really nice.
amazing food, and at such a great price too! a nice environment, super sweet and friendly owners. we are so excited to go here more often!
Honestly, the best place to eat authentic Chinese in Bellingham. Amazing prices, great atmosphere, and the owner is so so sweet. Would highly recommend. They deserve it!
Thought the name was pronounced (No - Peeking) boy was I wrong... They kicked me out after arguing with them for 56 min about how I wasn't going to peek at all while eating their delicious food. Was very confused on what was happening the whole time. That or I was frying hard on shrooms and imagined the entire experience...
The food has been consistently delicious for over 30 years and the owners are delightful.
New Peking is my GoTo for Chinese food in Bellingham. The owners are just the nicest and do everything to make your dining experience fantastic. The food is always hot and tasty with portions well worth the price. Can't go wrong with Chinese from New Peking
DO NOT EAT HERE. Incredibly disappointed. I tried this place for the first time based on previous reviews that the quality and portions were great for the price. I ordered takeout of many entrees and appetizers. The food was really, really bad. The chicken in the teriyaki looked like the discarded pieces from other dishes. The egg rolls were greasy and filled with wilted cabbage and nothing else. The soft chow mein noodles were more mung bean than noodle. The General Tao’s and Mongolian beef were inedible. The portions were ridiculously tiny. (The classic styrofoam takeout box was not even filled across the bottom.) I called them to ask for a refund (the first time I’ve ever done this in my life) and the proprietor yelled at me. She said to compare their prices to the rest of town, that I had made my decision to spend my money, and that if they refunded everyone who hated their food they would go out of business. I do not believe in leaving negative reviews for small family businesses that are just trying to carve out a living, but I also don’t want any other good-hearted people to go here and tip 25% for takeout just to have a disgusting meal.
