Best Thai in the Bellingham area IMO, and we've tried all of the options in town. They know what vegetarian/vegan means, and they offer many options. We previously enjoyed a to-go meal but dining there in person is the way to go if possible. I'm writing that even though the restaurant was as understaffed as physically possible (one server for the entire restaurant) when we were there. Our group of 4 were sympathetic to her plight and we tried to help by going inside to get things we needed, such as water, but basically service was verrrry slow. We did make it to the play we were attending at the Firehouse Arts Center in time though! Anyway, I highly recommend them, but allow extra time if you have a commitment afterward.
Amazing food and service! Cute decor and outdoor seating. Loved the drunken noodles and green curry. The owner was so nice. Would definitely stop by again when in the area!(:
Fresh, delicious and such authentic cuisine. Vegetables are crunchy and very flavorful. Noodles and rice are well done and the sauces have great depths of flavor without leaving you with that “gross” full feeling.
Very costly ($78 for 2 dishes and 2 drinks) and they charged extra without asking if we wanted the added item. Overall not worth it and I'm not sure why people rate it so highly. The phad Kee mao tasted like it had sirracha in it, and the avocado in the curry was hard as a rock.
We took our family for dinner and this is the best Thai food we have had in years. Our Grandson is a very particular eater and he loved the food. Each dish had it's own distinct flavour and the plates were plentiful, no tiny dishes. My only two complaints were the Music above our head was loud enough to reach the whole area, making it too loud where we sat. I have hearing aids so it is my problem. The Satay & spring rolls were very good but I am not used to prices being this high, The kids love them so it is a minor issue. The staff were very patient and helped us ordering a number of times, superb customer service. They have a hot sauce which they should bottle and sell because it is so good! Ask for a taste. I don't know the difference between Thai & Lao but, Overall the BEST thai food in years.
We have been coming here since the place opened. We are always welcomed with love and find the food to be in a class of its own! Incredible flavors and quality make this place a slam dunk for any enthusiast of ethnic cuisine. Try the Chicken Avocado Curry or the Duck Curry.
Khaosoi dish and the masiman curry were VERY good. Food is authentic Thai food, very tasteful and healthy. The owner came and talked with us after our meal and she was very sweet and kind. We’ll definitely be back.
We took our daughter here for dinner tonight. We all had delicious dinners! No stars for heat when you order, but they give you a dish of their own fantastic hot sauce to spice up your meal as hot as you like! We will be back!
This place is a hidden gem. The other places in town which get so much business are really not worth it. I just feel like an idiot when I spend good money on such low quality food. Maikham is on another level entirely and instantly recognizable. True quality and authentic food.
We just tried this today. This is the best Thai food we have found in Bellingham. Drunken Noodles, fried rice, and Garlic noodles were excellent. They also have some unique dishes (they also have Lao dishes) that we want to go back and try asap. Very fresh and the food came out hot. Service was excellent and we met the very friendly owner who moved here from San Francisco. Give this place a try!!!
