Delicious, friendly, and clean! Stopped in for a quick meeting with a colleague and stayed after for the food. Very friendly staff. Generous portions. No cash, only cards accepted.
We heard so many great things about this place, so we’re surprised by what happened. We placed our order, then proceed to watch 6 parties get their food before us, we waited over 30min. We watched a waitress walk around talking to other employees, stating to them she mixed up the tickets and didn’t know where the food went, to which I stated “we’re still waiting for ours, maybe it’s our order?” She looked at us, flat out didn’t reply, turned her back, then walked back to the kitchen. A 7th party was served, so we asked another employee when our order would be ready. Eventually we got our food, no communication, no apologies, $50 tab plus a tip I wish we didn’t leave. Just needed communication or acknowledgment, but a lack of basic social courtesy failed. Not an experience we’d like to have again, will choose elsewhere next time. Food was decent, burritos big on rice filler. Ambience nice, drinks were wonderful, I imagine the other parties had a great experience.
A brightly lit spot with the friendliest staff! Don't sleep on the mint and matcha spritzer, it's exactly what you'd want if you wanted a matcha soda and honestly I'm sad I can't get it bottled everywhere. The mochi cake is so creamy it's almost custard, and the chewyness is on point!
a friend recommended Banter to me, and i let me just say, WOW!! i got their lavender latte made with oat milk, and it was perfectly smooth and the flavors were balanced so well. i also got their banter burrito, with veggie sausage added, and YUMMMMM!!! i haven’t had a better burrito. it could be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner it’s that’s good. i will definitely be going back!
This restaurant has three items on their menu for a reason. They make great food and not a lot of food. Their ingredients are extremely high quality lacking in so many other restaurants. Their breakfast bowl is perfection. The sauce they use is a deeply concentrated Smokey and sweet salsa that complements their perfectly executed eggs. Potato's with an actual bark are well seasoned with perfectly ripe avocado. Don't even think of not eating the bacon. It's perhaps the best smoked ham I have eaten in a long time. Bravo Banter for bringing quality back to breakfast. Btw their coffee is hand crafted and exceptional.
Probably the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had! Spanish latte with condensed milk and cinnamon is delicious. Super nice service, thanks Darcy! Definitely must stop in again. Required vaccine to dine in ?
I was up in Bellingham for the day and wanted to find some avocado toast. I read great reviews about this place, and had completely reviewed their website. With the mask mandate gone, I was not carrying a mask (I am fully vaccinated and not anti mask) we were told that they are keeping the mask requirement and had 'just ran out of extras' there is zero mention on their website and no warning on the doors. We went out of our way to have their food, and were refused service because we didn't have masks.
i ordered online and the item i ordered (juice) was out of stock IRL so when i went to pick it up, they were like ???i got the vibe people had been pretty demanding in the past, but as a former barista, i was like ??♀️ not today.we swapped it for a delicious iced, matcha latte and i was on my way.there is currently no inside seating, but the space is so cute and the baristas are so nice. both the matcha and the flat white my partner got were delish.
Incredibly good food, and really great drinks. The staff is also very friendly.It would be a five stars, but the seating arrangement is just not conducive to eating, it would be significantly improved if they put proper tables and chairs in the main cafe area.Because of that it made the experience cumbersome and disappointing.
I love this spot! The food and the drinks are great and I've even got some amazing bottles of wine. Def recommend!
