My daughter and boyfriend raved about this place and brought my wife and I here for both our birthday dinners. Wow, simple food made great! Chicken was juicy and not greasy, Cole slaw and salad were perfect and the side of Mac n cheese put me into a food coma. Loved the cucumber/pineapple fizz drink too. We were upstairs in the bar area (table 25 is the best!) we will be back
Amazing dinner. The sides and appetizers were amazing and so was every chicken that our table got. Drinks were very good, upstairs bar area was cool, and the service was excellent.
First time eating here and absolutely amazing! Perfect flavor and texture is just amazing. The restaurant is gorgeous. Best fried chicken in Bellingham!
Who doesn’t love fried chicken? Between the ambience, service and the food, it was Ana amazing experience.There is a bar and seating upstairs that has a nice ambience.Don’t miss out on the mac n’ cheese, it was delicious with baked breadcrumbs on the top. The fried chicken had a perfect batter and was juicy inside. My partner had the baked chicken and same conclusion.They have outdoor covered and heated seating too.
It was wonderful. The service was great, but the food and drinks were even better. There’s a lot of passion that went into creating a faire that is delightful on the palette, and beautiful in its presentation.The flavors were great, the chicken juicy, and their drinks were delicious and just the right strength. Love this place and live even more that they pay their employees a living wage and share tips (says on the menu).This place not only provides great food, but does the right thing for its people. I find great comfort in knowing that not only the experience of its diners, but the experience of their employees matter. We will absolutely come here again.
Got the Deluxe Fried Chicken Sandwich…Holy cow. It was the biggest and most delicious chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. It was incredible. Huge fried chicken breast, cheese, bacon, an over easy egg, lettuce, and sauce. Also the fries were amazing too. I only got the one meal and it was $27 dollars (including their pre-calculated tip and $2 worth of ranch).I will say getting parking was a nightmare though. My takeout order was waiting like 15 minutes for me while I was trying to find a spot. It still tasted good luckily.
My wife and I enjoy this place. Fun date night. Great cocktails of all kinds. Delicious Hush puppies.. There are different chicken dishes. I had the Golden chicken. Super crispy, super spicy. (Habenaro). My wife had the chicken bacon burger. Great flavors. Great staff. We Enjoyed our visit. Check it out.
EXTREMELY disappointed. We were sat on time, but couldn't order drinks for awhile, then couldn't order food. Finally got our drinks, ordered food, and then waited, and waited, and waited. Our server went to the table directly next to us multiple times, yet never turned around to ask if we were doing ok/wanted more drinks/updating us on how long our food would be.After an hour of nothing besides getting our drinks, we left. Put money on the table to cover our drinks. Host looked at us as we left, didn't say a word.
AMAZING fried chicken, wonderful cocktails, and delicious side dishes! Highly recommend the fried chicken, of course - we love the golden chicken (VERY spicy), fried chicken meal, and hot chicken especially. The rotisserie cauliflower is one of our favorite sides, and we love the beets. For two, one order of fried chicken and some sides or small plates is a perfect dinner. Great service, too.
When I first read about Bantam, I thought to myself “chicken,” what’s the big deal. Then, Megan at Storia Cucina raved about the experience at Bantam, and so I gave it a try. Megan was right again. Bantam was amazing, the chicken incredible, and the experience fantastic. Nicole was my welcoming server, and she wanted me to enjoy Bantam.Upstairs is for adults, and I appreciate segregation for the first time in my progressive life. Kids can enjoy themselves downstairs, while I drink in peace upstairs. Downstairs looks like a take out joint, while upstairs at Bantam is a lounge, designed with taste and a touch of cool. It’s an urbane space. The bar at Bantam looks great as well. Alas, Covid alarm kept the bar closed while I was there, and I was relegated to a table. However, my cocktails still went down well, and the fried chicken and fries were some of the best I’ve tasted. Bantam is another spot in Bellingham that belies its small town persona. Bellingham may have a moderate population, but its cool quotient is extreme.
