Now I don't mind tipping for service but I have always wondered about tipping when someone simply takes your order. This is what happened on Saturday at the Bagelry. My friend and I ordered our 2 eggs and a bagel and I was prompted to tip right away. Ok, I used the guilt prompts, tipped, got my meal number and sat down. And waited and waited. Finally had to go back in and inquire. Food finally came with no utensils. So, what exactly did I tip for? And this is not the first time this has happened. Horrible customer service but please tip right away!
Haven't tried the bagels I bought yet, but they could use some improvement in their ordering process. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to purchase a bag of bagels. Next time I'll go in during the week.P.S. The bagels are great! They know how to make them.
I grew up in Bham and have always loved the bagels and the owner even gave a talk at the community college back in the day. Yummy food. The time it takes to prepare the food could be a bit faster. Worth the wait though.
The bagelry never fails to satisfy! Fresh delicious chewy bagels, and soups, great sandwiches with assorted toppings. Always fresh alfalfa sprouts, cream cheese…mmm! Instant time travel back to my college days!! They now take debit/credit card payment!
I’ll tell you right now, I loved Bagelry. Today is definitely the last visit though. Multiple girls in crop tops making food. Absolutely disgusting. Beautiful women, all about body positivity but this isn’t it. Sourdough bagel is so salty. Potato egg scramble is so greasy with no seasoning. Homeless people coming in and out (let’s face it, hard to stop) but no employee does anything about it. I cannot see myself stepping foot back in that establishment and I’m sure you’ll be fine without my business but I couldn’t leave without an honest review. Good luck.
I got the veggie & vegan cream cheese on an everything bagel. Absolutely delicious! Bagel was a bit hard but the flavor made up for that. Probably one of the best whipped vegan cream cheeses I’ve ever had. The lady at the register was also very nice and helpful when deciding what to get.
The best bagel since moving from New Jersey in 1992. Things are getting back to normal why? The Bagelry has opened fully again. Felt amazing walking through the doors. The warmth, the aroma, the friendly atmosphere we all love. To top it of flavor filled bagels. Sandwiches and more. The Bagelry is a Bellingham institution and deserves our thanks for being here after the rough couple of years.
I ordered bagel with two eggs with cheese. The bagel was really doughy and cheese was missing. However, I received great service from the young man who took my order.
The Bagel Sandwich was great. The salt bagel was perfectly Salty and had loads of great things in it. The coffee was also great. Nice staff and even nicer location. Would recommend.

Very easily could have been FIVE stars but they forgot to put capers on my Lox Sandwich. :-( The capers are the crowning glory on a lox sandwich as far as I am concerned. Other than that the bagels are perfect, the lox is fresh, cream cheese is very tasty and the price is right. The pickles were awesome!
