By far one of the greatest staples of Bellingham/Fairhaven! The staff is welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere is nothing but fun, and the drinks are always flowing. This is a place that will continue to grow with the community! #10/10recommend
Had such a fun time! Comfy couches, dope games, open space, friendly people :) go next to the connected place next door to play table top games or look at the schedule for fun events ! Highly recommended
They make their staff sign a non disclosure agreement so they can’t talk about their work experiences. That being the case there is NO way I would feel safe consuming their food or patronizing their business!! NO THANKS!
This place is outstanding!! Over 3,000 games and a ton of console types, plus delicious snack food and both kid/adult beverages. This place is probably the most affordable and comfortable place to game for all ages in Whatcom County. It can be a little bit tricky to find if you are mapping it. The best way to do this is to map Cafe Blue (an adorable coffee shop right near it). When you get to the cafe, you'll see a brick alleyway on the left that goes back behind the cafe. Go all the way down the alley, and all the way to the right and you'll see the entrance to 1-up!
Drove 50 minutes and called ahead of time to make sure as long as I wear a mask unvaxed it would be ok, was told that was fine. I drove there just to turned down after waiting 15 minutes for the bartender to even acknowledge us.
Came here for the first time for my buddies bachelor party. This place is next level awesome. The beer is cold, the food is good and the staff is super friendly. Being able to play video games I grew up on and have a couple beers with friends was insanely fun. Probably my favorite part about this place is the chill vibe this place gives off. Everyone is extremely friendly. This is by far my new favorite place in Bellingham.
I took my boyfriend here for our date night and it was both of our first times. I appreciate that they check vaccination status and seemed to be consistent with it.Biggest downside is that the drinks were a bit pricy for what you get. It wasn’t until I switched to a cider that I felt like it was worth my money.Very cool atmosphere though and we enjoyed getting to know a couple of the other patrons!
From cocktail delivery to BBQ to good old fashioned video game bars, I'll follow these folks! I especially love the work they put in to make a nerdy/video game type environment safe and comfortable for everyone.
This is my favorite bar. I've been going there for 4 years. Best thing about them is that they change up their drink menus from time to time to keep things interesting. The bartenders are also super sweet and they work well during a rush! Great drinks, great games, great service.
Came to drink my problems away, stayed for the people.Went on Christmas night and had an amazing experience that exceeded any expectations. The other customers were very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of game selection available for casual gamers and competitive gamers alike, across numerous platforms.My bartender for the night was Hugh, an excellent mixologist, open minded, and a positive attitude that engages in conversation with those looking for social interaction. To add to that, his BBQ is to die for, absolute glory to the taste buds.TL;DR - Fun interactive and safe space for warm hearted nerds to gather. Drinks are great, games are great, staff are great, and it has become my new goto lounge.Thank you Hugh (and to the people I met) for an amazing Christmas, gave me a far better day than I could have asked for.
