A group of friends and I went to Tokyo steakhouse to celebrate a birthday. It was so fun and delicious. The restaurant is super spacious so even if there are others there you donât realize it. Our chef was fun and our food was so good. This is a great experience for groups!
The service right from the start of not the best and it did not improve through the evening. The chef was good. There was no disclosure on the fact that the fried rice was an add on either and that 20% service was added on even though we were only 3 people. Just generally was not the best evening. I won't be back.
There was 2 of us and the only ones in the restaurant . The hostess was very rude . Waited ten minutes for her aknowledge us. Didn’t even say hello just said “ no sushi and only 1 check “ . We should’ve turned away there. She’s the hostess , bartender , server , everything. We sat down and she again said “ one check only “ about 2 -3 more times. They don’t use garlic butter. They used 1 egg for all of our fried rice but he burnt half and threw it out so it was really only half a egg . The filet was PERFECT , soo good . The food in general was good but could’ve been better with garlic butter. The drinks were delicious and thankfully you could taste the liquor because she said they only came with 1 shot . So fast forward . We get our bill and they Automatically charged 20% gratuity . I asked about it because typically it’s only automatically applied to larger groups. She said everyone has to pay 20% even if it’s a party of 1 . The tip was almost the price of my plate. Then after I sign there was still a place to leave a tip ! We were going to tip her regardless but not 20% because the service just was terrible . She disappeared after taking our order and didn’t return until we had to search for her. Not only that but what irritated me the most was the fact that she told us “one check “ 4 X but didn’t mention the gratuity charge once . She said there was a sign at the entrance. On the way out I looked for the sign and it was a piece of paper that was all torn up on the desk , I should’ve took a picture . . . $204 for 2 plates & 3 drinks , terrible service but good food. Will not return .
Spent 182 on meal service, I had an 8 year little girl as per their children's menu she was not 9 yrs old yet. Asked for a children's chicken meal for her. Ended up at the end getting charged for an adults chicken dinner price of 29 dollars. When we asked Jane our server why we were charged $29 for a children's menu item we were told that it was dinner time and they don't offer children's menu items. When pressed why we were charged even after telling her we wanted a children's chicken meal she never told us anything on price or that they didn't offer the children's menus items past a certain time. As far as I could tell this place only has one menu and it doesn't change between lunch or dinner. Honestly don't come here the extra 20% service charge is a joke. Lol I also asked about that it doesn't matter if it's one person or 20 people they still charge the 20% extra. This place is garbage compared to other steakhouses.
Severely understaffed. No host/hostess, waited 30 min for a table with a reservation Automatic 20% gratuity added. Wonât go back again

Chefs were great, food was good. Greeter was completely miserable and if we weren’t meeting a large group we would have walked out after our first exchange, when she told us to wait outside for the rest of our group. Other staff member told me “no turn arounds” as I walked out to leave the restaurant with my two year old in hand, I turned around in the lobby to get something from the table. Lol unimaginable…how am I not allowed to walk back to the table I just left?!! Liked this place years ago but looks like things have taken a bad turn, they weren’t busy…Maybe the word got out about the horrid service. Again…great chefs!

Had reservations at 7:30. We were not seated until 7:45. Finally got water at 8pm. Once the service started it was ok. Food is average. The lack of value is disappointing. $300 for a family of four. Could definitely find better options in the area.
