You can get better hotpot elsewhere.1. Super super tiny amount of noodles and meat2. Took two separate tables, 5 people in one and 4 in the other and was automatically charged 18% even though we were separated3. Service was SO slow. They need more workers, only one person was running around taking orders and our orders were forgotten multiple times4. Overpriced:- All you can eat was 55 per person after tip and tax- A la carte was 30 per person after tip and tax
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants so it pains me to see how far it's fallen.I've been coming here since at least 2015, and back then it was great! The food was a bit expensive but not bad, the broth choice great, and the service was at a minimum decent. Back then and even up until 2020/21 ish it was incredibly popular, with you having to wait an hour or more for service (but we'd do it anyway because it was good).I came here recently and the first thing I noticed is that during peak hours, it was only half full. That was unheard of for this place and was my first warning sign. The other thing I noticed was that the crowd, whom had typically been east-Asian, were largely absent and replaced with non-East Asians. This was my second warning sign.Interestingly, it was the same with the staff - they'd largely been east-Asian before, and now had a lot of non east-Asians. Not saying it's an issue but clearly something had changed. We ignored the warning signs and decided to order anyway. Service was extremely slow, we had to ask the waiters to bring us our water. It also took them over 30 minutes to bring us the meat we ordered - it's literally just raw meat, there is very little to no prep time so there was absolutely not reason for the delay. I asked for chili sauce as well and had to remind them twice in order to get it. I also noticed another table having to get up and walk to the waiters to get their check - they were clearly just as frustrated as us.I have no idea why the service was so bad, there weren't even that many people and bringing out raw meat is not hard. Either way, it completely soured my experience of the place and until they fix their issues, I'm not going back.
Decent food I suppose. Pretty pricey though and the service is average to poor at best. Probably understaffed and everything with the job environment, but I literally had to ask for waters and a menu. They checked on our table 0 times and we had to always flag someone down.I feel bad only giving 3 and really did consider that every restaurant is short staffed. But it really makes the experience worse given that you are spending 80-100 with two people.
The server did not even bother to greet or seat us. We literally stood at the front door and waited about 5 mins and there were only 2 group of people in the restaurant at that moment. Terrible service. We left after standing there like a foolish.
They've taken away the a la carte menu and really push you to the app you can eat menu which is pricier considering the amount of food we eat. They have substituted meat to cheaper and tougher cuts. This is especially noticable in the lamb shoulders. The worst part is the wait. They are extremely short staffed. Expect a line line to get seated. Long wait to get the menu, longer wait to take your order, long wait for the food. Etc. The wait staff suffers from what I call "shifty eyes". That's when you're so overwhelmed with customer's needs, they avoid eye contact with the customers at all cost in order to stay focused on tasks at hand. If you've been there before, add about extra 30-45 min to what it used to be.
Very strange experience. We came here because every other hot pot in the area was slammed.Ordered the "all you can eat", but that title is a bit of a misnomer since it took about an hour to get our first replenishment, and at least 20-30 minutes for our very first order to arrive (although drinks came almost immediately, so that was nice). The staff were very nice, and seemed well intentioned, but I can't fathom how you could pay $50-60 per person and not see a server for 60 minutes. It felt like everyone there was new to the restaurant industry, but very we intentioned.Unless they fix the service aspect of this place, it should be the last hot pot you visit. Even then, you'll probably leave in a better mood if you just go elsewhere, and save $30-50 on your bill. As a quick comparison; Japanese BBQ place right down the street usually ends up being around $30/pp, and has infinitely better service, and the portions are large enough that you don't need all-you-can-eatParking here is also a bit of a nightmare, with an almost infinite stream of Tesla Model 3's driving the wrong way, pulling out in front of you, or double parked. Spaces are small, and the area area has a large number of business relative to the parking lot size.
Been to many hot places, this is the worst. Crazy long wait for food/broth. I mean, this is hotpot, you basically only needs to cut and serve and we cook ourselves. And there was nothing at all served 20 mins of sitting down FOR a hot pot restaurant, and the place was only HALF FULL with idle waiters?? How hard is it to figure out you can serve anything to start with to avoid unpleasant customers? The management's such a mess.
This is a joke. They claim this is all you can eat but the truth is you can only eat one round! We waited 40+ minutes for our second round order of meat, but it was never delivered, my friend’s pod were burnt from waiting for the meat, because the soup they added while we were waiting were completely evaporated, this is how long we waited. After we complained, they only offered to charge us for the all you can eat minus wagyu. We had five people in our group, we only had 1 small plate of wagyu in total, so you can see how GENEROUS they are. All the food that’s been served for one person was less then one personal hot pot they used to serve, but we had to pay double the price. Oh and on top of that, we had to share four pots for the five of us.
Julie was amazing and made a busy night possible. She was working alone in the front of the restaurant, managing seating, orders, and everything in between. That lady deserves a promotion and a raise!
The worst hot pot I’ve ever been to in Seattle.1. Understaffed and terrible service, I didn't know there was a regular menu until I read the reviews, because the staff only gave us the premium menu.2. Veggies not fresh, the corn taste bitter, the lotus not fresh also .3. Broth taste bad, and we don’t like the dipping sauce also, it taste bitter. I'd rather you charge me more and let us make the dip we want.Overall, will not back again and would not recommend, don’t waste your time and money, just go somewhere else
