I walked in the restaurant alone and the place was not even half full. It took them 50 + mins almost an hour to get the only dish I ordered which was extremely ridiculous. The people there are nice but doesn't know how to do business. When after 40 mins waiting I walked to the front and asked could you provide me an estimated time on when I'm able to get my dish, the lady could not provide even an estimation. Instead she pointed at other tables in the restaurant and told me they are all waiting for their food. Other tables all have 4+ people at each table. I feel desperate, hungry and helpless, since I was alone at the table and only ordered one dish and had been waiting for almost 50 mins. So after the escalation, the nice sushi chef finally decided to make my order and that's another 7 mins wait. They could have told me when I walked in that they got many online orders and is running slow, but they didn't.its an extremely disappointed experience and I paid $40 for my only dish.
Medium quality sushi for high-end restaurant prices. Also my wife got a big piece of plastic in the middle of her roll.
A few months ago, I called in to order lunch for one person at 11:25am, and was told the food would be ready in 25 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant after 15 minutes and waited outside for about 10 minutes. When I got into the restaurant the food was not ready at all. I had to wait another 10 minutes to get my food. Basically the chef just started to prepare it when I got there. As the result of this delay, I was 4 minutes late for an appointment with someone who was going to meet with me at my house. He had just left when I got home. It's very hard to get an appointment with him so I had to wait another two months to meet with him.

Very friendly staff. High quality sushi at affordable price range. Highly recommended if you want something decent maybe once a month or so. This was my second time, and I really enjoyed it.
Sushi in Joy is my favorite restaurant in Bellevue! The friendly and helpful staff is there every time I visit, greeting me with a kind smile each time. The food is delicious and everything I have tried has far surpassed my expectations. Most certainly worth visiting!
