So Tasty really delivers the food according to the name sake. We had been there once before and the experience wasn’t perfect-cold fried chicken piece. This time was pretty amazing. We ordered half (spicy) & half (original) fried chicken thighs, waffle fries, basil fried rice w/ shrimp, and mala (numbing spicy) soup pot with lamb and rice noodle. All are amazing! The soup was spicy hot and really helped with coping the unusual seasonal cold; the lamb tasty. Basil fried rice was a decent surprise because it was so perfectly seasoned with a great aroma of stirred fried. Who knows the fried rice from a fried chicken restaurant could be so darn good?We were absolutely thrilled about the fried chicken. They were GOOD. I hate dried fried chicken and like crispy skins. So Tasty’s fried chicken fit my bill completely—the outside so crunchy, the inside so juicy! They were truly awesome! The fried chicken were made with the “scalp” coating, which I have heard before about how crispy they would be. It was true! When I took a big bite of the thigh (caution, hot!), the meat juice was oozing out. What a satisfying chicken eating experience! I had an original flavor thigh but SO said the spicy one was even better. In our quest of finding the more superior fried chicken in the area, we found that Krispy Krunchy Fried Chicken was a pretty close competitor. Both places served piping hot, flavorful, juicy, crunchy chicken pieces. However, Krispy Krunchy’s Cajun marinate was pretty amazing and it gets really inside of the chicken pieces (I couldn’t guess how they do it but it was intriguing for sure), the skin was crispy but not a lot of coating. So Tasty’s has less of the marinate flavor, juicier meat, and thicker coating. Both are so good.

This was my first time eating here, and I had their Soup Pot with spicy broth, lamb, and rice noodles. They have a picture of it on the outside of their entrance. It was spicy but this is some of the best soup I have ever had and I will be back. I also had their taro milk tea with tapioca balls and it was also good. I’m not Chinese, but for what it’s worth, this definitely seems like authentic Chinese food and not “Americanized” Chinese food if that makes sense. I want to try some of their other soup pots and their fried chicken. Their service is also fast and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the mood for Chinese or Asian food and is willing to spend a little extra for good quality food.

This restaurant is not like the other asian restaurants I have been to. Their basil fried rice with chicken is really good. Fried rice in other restaurants have bad odor/flavor or smell from the bad oils, fishy sauces or something which I don’t know. But, this restaurant makes quality food I can say based on the smell, flavor and taste. This became our favorite restaurant. My wife also likes their soups.

So far this is THE WORST among the dozens, if not hundreds, of the Asian restaurants I’ve tried in greater Seattle area. While other “bad” restaurants might have high prices, small portions issues, their food still have their own special good tastes. But this one, with above average prices, below average portions, the taste is TERRIBLE. The way too sweet beef, way too salty vegetables and marinated eggs, and fried rice that’s so greasy that I literally had to mix it with spicy and sour sauce to balance it so that I could bear putting it in my mouth! How on earth could such a restaurant got so many 5-star reviews!

Tasty Chinese food with good fried chickens, I could enjoy their house milk tea as well.Particulary staff was professional and the place was very clean for the safety. I will keep ordering foods.

Best fried chickenin town. But the food safety is a bit concerning. I had rotten corn, and a bug in my soup. Hope they make improvement on that because I really love the egg tarts.

I was really excited to try this place and it's okay. The menu isn't as large as you'd think, they offer some Cantonese Chinese style dishes and the other half of the menu is fried chicken. The Cantonese dishes are okay, nothing exceptional, but the traditional Portuguese egg tart is probably the best in Seattle. The fried chicken I'm sorry to say isn't that great, it comes in regular and spicy but they're not much different in taste. It's very oily tasting and heavy on the batter. They do offer with whole wings or just the wing portions. You can either order from the QR code menu or from a staffer. They do alot of takeout business so half the store is organized to provide for that.

So TastyTaste Rating: 10/10Overall Rating: 9/10Verdict: Fantastic Chinese style fried chicken and hotpot - even better together <3Overall Breakdown:* Flavor: 6/5* Uniqueness: 4/5* Value: 4/5* Ambience: 4/5* Service: 4/5Summary:There’s a lot of hot pot restaurants in Bellevue-Redmond, but So Tasty is my go to. Why? Their fried chicken. And yes I always order fried chicken in addition to hotpot. The chicken is always perfectly cooked - crispy skin, mouth watering juices, and a subtle Chinese spice to pique the palette. This flavor bomb becomes extra explosive when you dip it into your Mala hotpot broth - heaven.Whether ordering Togo or dining in, I’ve had a consistently solid experience - though I feel like you get slightly larger portions when you dine in. Prices are a little high but I think it’s worth the flavor. Service is what you’d expect at a traditional Chinese restaurant - but I don’t go to Chinese restaurants for the service, it’s all about the flavor and So Tasty never disappoints.

Yo this place fried chicken be tasty af. The name says it all, Chinese people got chicken on lock. You know what it is.

Been here over 5 times already. Bomb spicy chicken (not really spicy) and egg tarts! I suggest you get to the restaurants when its not during food rush hours. The boba are way better than your typical Asian restaurant with boba in the middle of nowhere town. You order through a table specific QR Code (make sure to check out after you order, unlike my friends). The food comes out quickly if they aren't super busy and have backup orders. The Spicy chicken aren't dry and are consistent. By no means, its the best fried chicken ever, but it does the trick. The egg tarts are no joke, since most people order it, you'll most likely get a fresh batch during a rush. Everything else is above average, so this place does live up to its names LoL
