Update:======The restaurant has moved to a new location. I ordered tiffin combo, the sambar was watery, idli and vada was hard. I find the cleanliness and the quality of the food has gone down a lot.Just Tiffins seems to be a restaurant that serves dishes from Tamilnadu, a south Indian state.I have been trying different south Indian place for sambar and i finally my search ended in Just Tiffens.I ordered mini meals and it had sambar rice, appalam, curd rice , Rava kesari and pumpkin curry. The sambar rice was just perfect, it's not too spicy and yet it had the nice aroma of the spices and with appalam it tasted even better. I liked the curd rice too. The Rava kesari was right mix of ghee, nuts and pineapple flavour.I ordered medu Vada and it was the best i ever had in US. It's soft, crispy and doesn't have too much.
The restaurant was very dirty, cluttered with containers/packages, and the food was mediocre. The official food safety rating was "good", not excellent. We probably would have left immediately but the group was too hungry.
We came here on a weekend and ordered their combo, thali, dosa and filter coffee. We liked the coffee but the entire food was lukewarm. We were disappointed in the sambhar and chutneys since they were so bland and runny.
Great place for Indian tiffins. Sambhar Idli, dosa and vada are great. Coffee and tea were not up to the mark
The place has lost its taste over time. I had food many times at this place sadly the taste changed. The food isn't up to the mark I barely felt the spice except for dosa, vada and Pongal the rest of the items are either bland or don't have the same taste as before. The concert that happens over the weekend is nice and you can try other places as well so the ambience/convenience deserves a star.
Just for a dosa on Wednesday evening we waited for 20 minutes and it came out cold and soggy. Masala needed to be found by microscope. For some reason they could not replace regular dambar with drumstick sambar. Horrible experience with service.
My second favoured Tamil style vegetarian place to go to. (After Madras dosa corner in Issaquah)I like their dosais and vadais, I usually try to avoid going on weekends because they are usually backed up and their sambars and chutneys could be runnyThere is enough seating for folksIf you are going to order a quick meal, go for the combos (especially on weekends) the dosas and especially the rava dosais and the uthapams take a lot longer
I love the foodI go here every week if I can
Another South Indian spot. The vada was hot, fresh and crisp, the dosa was pretty decent too! Their sambhar and chutneys are absolutely not good! So eat the dosa and vada on its own, which is still not a bad idea.
If it’s a weekend do not go to this place.Sambar / chutney extremely runny. You can’t just pour water to accommodate 100 more people. Basically to every item they add water just to fit the portion size rendering it tasteless.Cold and dry 2 scoops of pongal. All my idly/pongal craving is now craving for a redemption.
