Was craving Ramen and came here based of the reviews. We had the following :1. Potatoes 5/5 - crispy and go very well with spicy mayo(ask for this)2. Veggie Ramen 4/5 - added some chilli sauce to make it hot. Overall decent choice.3. Kara Miso 5/5 - spicy and hot. Very tasty. Some of the very few places where I've loved this and this is one of it. Close your eyes and order this.4. Plum wine 2/5 - its average.Overall a super choice. If you craving Ramen then go here.
Came here for lunch one day, and I was pretty disappointed by the ramen here despite the high ratings. The interior was very nice but the ramen was bland. I even got the fancy version with more pork from a tender cut, but the meat was still chewy, not melt in your mouth at all. The broth had a very boring flavor profile, like it just tasted like salty water. The tsukemen broth was very watery and just tasted like 'spicy' and nothing else. Maybe I just went on a bad day but I've had instant ramen way better than this. Quality could not justify the almost $20 cost for my bowl of ramen.
This is a nice go-to place for Ramen. We had vegetarian ramen, corn-butter and potato wedges. The broth used in Vegetarian Ramen is flavourful after adding spicy-sauce.Ramen was served piping hot and was good when had hot.The only problem for this place is either you can have Vegetarian ramen or other Pork based ramen . This place does not offer options with any other meat which is a big NO-NO for many people.
It was a great authentic ramen shop in Bellevue. The taste reminded me of the days back in Japan.I ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu (soy sauce with pork broth) and chasyu donburi (rice bowl). My wife ordered the Tonkotsu shio. Tonkotsu shio was very much close to the hakata style ramen, and Tonkotsu Shoyu was close to the wakayama style. They were both good.Gyoza was also quite close to what you get if it was in Japanese store. The Gyoza in other stores tend to be soft and squishy which isn't the right texture, but santoka's Gyoza was crispy on one side, soft on the other side - just like it should be.
Ramen was decent. But for $17 it better have the magical soft boiled egg in it! I am super disappointed. Toppings that are included were also skimped on. Not worth the $$.
Toppings were very good, unique from other places. The broth was too rich for our taste though. We tried miso, spicy miso and veggie ramen.
Really good ramen!! Definitely will come back!
Always delicious! I find it to be a tad better when I dine in versus take out but it's still good either way. This time I got the karaage ramen combo with a small kara misu ramen and aji-tama. The tsukemen is also really good here!!
It’s rare I’ll give a five stars, but this places hits all the marks. The first time I went I had the Negi Namban with pork belly which was super spicy and loaded with flavor. The second time I chose the Shoyu Ramen with pork cheek instead of pork belly. The pork cheek was even more flavorful than pork belly if that’s even possible.
Hokkaido Ramen is our favorite, go-to ramen spot in Bellevue. It can definitely get busy, however, the staff always works hard to ensure fast and efficient service. Their kara miso ramen and karaage are both highly recommended!
