Enjoy the gyro salad however I will admit I miss the old dressing the other owner used

I have eaten here at this place for 20 years, since it was next to Target entrance. I forgot my vaccination card at home and I begged them to let us eat our food on the table I said I don't want the tray I'll just unwrap my food and eat it there with my family, but 2 ladies in there yelled "NO and said show me your card or you have to leave now" and said it very loudly. There were 2 other costumes eating there and heard it very clearly. They know me well there I go often and they know we are clear to eat in. They screw up orders often but I never complained before. This time I just have to say this, they also didn't give us the whole oder but didn't find out until we came home. Ordered 2 gyro meals and salad. Lettuce was very dark and soggy and no fries were given. Paid $43. Not worth it.
We come here every year as part of our Santa photos tradition! The food is delicious and the people are super friendly and nice. No dining in unless you have proof of vaccination which a really appreciate.

I ordered chicken Shawerma plate and souvlaki chicken plateThe presentation of the plate was so poor and it wasn’t hot enough.. both plates doesn’t taste that good and it is overpriced .. won’t repeat this experience again
One of the worst shawarma i have eaten. It was not even a shawarma, just random spices put on normally cooked chicken wrapped in a cheap bread.
Had great memories coming here in high school, so I went back after a decade of not having it. I really only wanted their greek fries and a gyro. The old man taking my order said the combo meal doesn’t come with greek fries, that’s its only regular fries and I can’t even buy the greek fries sauce on the side. So, I asked to redo my order to get a single gyro & a side of large fries (to get the greek fries). Before payment, I asked if he rang it in as greek fries as I saw the screen as “seas. fries”; I wasn’t sure if that meant sea salt or seasoned. He proceeded to get angry with me saying he asked me multiple times because he rang it in as seasoned meaning sea salt. No, he didn’t ask & why would I cancel my combo order & get the items separately? It was very frustrating to even get the order through, but the fries were really good. However, the gyro was bland & the chicken was dry.

I LOVE this place! I'm from Chicago and this place has the closest tasting to home gyros I've found out here so far. Their hummus and pita are delicious as well! Very friendly staff also.
