This was our first visit to Donburi Station Bellevue. It won't be our last. Great service, friendly people but best of all was the food. Our group enjoyed many entrees. Each was superb! Fresh, healthy Japanese donburi, at its best!
One of my go-to spots for Japanese rice bowls. Love their katsu, unagi, and chirashi bowls. The beef bowl tastes a little too oily for me - I think they could improve it (or maybe it's my taste buds' fault?). Udon is delicious too.Overall, everything they have is really solid, and I usually stop by a few times every week.
Never knew that we could have had Fremont bowl here in the Eastside this whole time!
Lots of great fish in chirashi. Katsu is good as well. Many different options.
The store itself is in Japanese style, and most of the staff here are Japanese, but the food is surprisingly not authentic.The portion is quite big but only on the rice side, there are too much rice and to little entrée in the bowl. Rice is much harder than expected, and sauce in almost everything seems too little. Almost all rice bowls came with chili powers on top by default, would be a bit of an annoyance for first-time customers.Chicken teriyaki is absolutely a disaster with too much starch in the sauce. Guy-don's onion taste like it does not belong to the same bowl. With little amount of sauce, una-ju is also not great due to too much plain rice will be left on the bottom.As a normal customer, this location is good enough. But never bring a Japanese friend here.
No dine in, but tables outside. Donburi (salmon sashimi) was ok quality, not super fresh, not horrible, but satisfactory grade. Wasabi was put in the middle, very weird presentation. Odd selection of takeout plastic container when portion does not fill bottom on bowl.
Love, love, love their beef dons! I think their poke bowls and fried chicken are just average, but I’ll go back repeatedly for their beef dons. I also highly recommend getting their Umami Chili Oil along with the don. Yum!
Most of people come here for fish but to me their best dish is the tonkatsu don topped with pork curry. Absolutely delicious and extremely filling.
High quality don, just dropped by on a short Seattle visit but quite satisfied! Plus staffs are very friendly and helpful, definitely recommend for those keen on Japanese cuisine!!
Very happy to have them opened in Bellevue. This is one of my favorite spot. Chirashi, Tonkatsu Don, Una-Gyu Don and Volcano Don are our favorite. Everything here is in very good quality, generous portion and authentic. Highly recommended!!
