My wife and I usually make an annual trip to Daniel's for our anniversary. We missed a couple years due to COVID but went back this year. It was the same experience - great food, nice atmosphere, pretty views - but the place was 75% empty on a cloudless summer weekend and the prices were INSANE: $12 for a small cup of soup. $60 for a small halibut steak. $80+ for a steak. Mandatory 20% service charge. It's a luxury restaurant, a treat to go to. But with one drink each plus dessert, it was almost 3 Franklin bills... which just isn't worth it. I don't think we'll be back.
We had received a friend's recommendation for Daniel's and it did NOT disappoint!! Unfortunately, the view of the city and mountains were covered in clouds but the restaurant staff more than made up for it. The meal was incredible! I had never had a Piedmontese Filet before so this was a real treat!! My son ordered the Flight of Filets and I thought he was going to lick the plate!! The garlic mashed potatoes were the absolute best I've ever had! Cannot say enough good things about this place!
My wife and I chose to visit Daniels Broiler Bellevue for our first anniversary. This was our first time coming to the Bellevue location. We picked this location since it supposedly had a nice view of downtown Bellevue & Seattle. I believe it was on the 21st floor and the view did not disappoint. Our waitress was one of the nicest waitresses we have had in a while and she immediately wished us happy anniversary. Based on her suggestion we each ordered a glass of red wine(sorry I did forget the name of the wine). We placed an order for calamari as an appetizer, soup and salad for a between course, I ordered a bone in ribeye steak including daniels special Oscar style, and my wife ordered the daniels delmonico steak. The calamari was amazing! Calamari is one of my favorite apps to get but sometimes the breading can be bad or too thick. This calamari was perfect, flaky breading, cooked great, and the 2 provided dipping sauces were so good! One was a garlic aoli and the other was a spicy cocktail sauce. To be honest I normally prefer my meats without bones, but I wanted to try a bone in ribeye for the first time. While I was at it I thought why not make it Oscar style! Oscar style is a holandaze type sauce with asparagus and crab that covers your steak. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and already so juicy but the Oscar style combined made a crazy unique flavor that I can't describe. It's a bit pricy of a topping add on but I would 100% recommend this.My wife's delmonico was also cooked perfect. For her first time having a delmonico she was very pleased. At the end of our meal we decided not to have dessert but our waitress was kind enough to bring us a coconut fudge sundae as a anniversary present. She was nothing but kind the entire time and this was a very thoughtful gesture for us.Overall daniels never dissappoints us and we really recommend the Bellevue location -Colter W
Considering the price of this place, I expected the food to taste better. Steak was a little overcooked and had burned parts when I requested medium rare. Other entrees were pretty normal, no issues but didnt taste particularly brilliant. Appetizers were probably the highlight of the entire meal. Service was all right, waiter probably could have smiled more throughout the evening.
I am sorry to say this, but my latest experience at Daniels Broiler was shockingly bad. Everyone at the table ordered lamb chops. The lamb chops were burned/bitter on the outside, and lacked any flavor/were tough and chewy on the inside. We were poking at these poor lamb chops for 10 minutes before the server finally checked on us. We told her that we did not like our meals. She refused to refund any portion of it, claiming that her manager did not appreciate the fact that we ate some of of it. Instead of the refund, or an offer to get us a different entree, the manager offered us some free dessert -- this was "the best he could do." The server also forgot to bring a salad and a tea, but this was very minor compared to the lamb chops fiasco. The Ahi Tuna appetizer was good, and so were the asparagus, and the dessert -- which is why I am giving this place 2 stars and not 1. But the experience was ruined because the place was willing to do so little to remedy their screw-up, along with implying that were lying about not liking our meals. I have been to Daniels many times and feel like it has deteriorated to the point of just not caring about the quality of its food or service. None of the three of us are ever going back to that overpriced, pompous, ridiculous place ever again.
This was a filet that was ordered medium-well.it was sent back because it was raw in the middle. This is what it looked like when it came back to me. A filet should never be burnt. I only accepted it because we had a party of 4 and didn’t want to delay them anymore time to leave. Actually one other in our party had to send his back to have it cooked a little longer. I was here on vacation and it was my birthday my wife was treating me. Service was good but judgement on quality steak was horrible.
Every time I’m at Daniel’s Broiler, is nothing else but great drink and awesome food!!
5/5 all around. This was my first time at a Daniel’s Broiler. We made reservations for a Tuesday a few days ahead and had no problems reserving a spot.Parking is easy - park in the hotel garage below. If you leave before 8pm, you can validate the ticket stub at the restaurant.Service - Is 20/5 stars possible? Our server (Maria I believe, I’m bad with names) was so kind I almost wished she could have had drinks with us. Incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and had good pacing.Drinks - I asked for a filthy martini and they did not shy away. I got two types of olives (regular and blue cheese), and a side pitcher with more olive juice. It was a great touch and great service. Fiancé got the Apple Manhattan and enjoyed that as well.Food - it was AMAZING. We ordered the bacon-wrapped scallops, the Daniel’s filet (medium), and the bone-in ribeye (medium). Garlic mashed potato side for both steaks. All were incredibly flavorful and filling. We had enough to save for a meal the following day.We got the cheesecake for dessert and the coconut sundae. Omg, both were so decadent. The coconut sundae comes with the yummiest fudge topping.Price - about $400 with tip added and worth every penny. We spent nearly 2 and a half hours with great conversation, views, and food. Will be back!
Last minute reservation for 2 was accommodated even though we had to go a little earlier.Who can complain, we had a window seat and the sun was setting. We could see Seattle, the Space Needle and the beautiful Olympic Mountains. So peaceful looking! Our waiter was fantastic. Even though we've been multiple times he made some recommendations for us to try something new. He was not wrong! Ahi seared tuna and the spinach salad was fantastic!!The main course, it was good but definitely not a $110 meal. Oscar style filet mignon cooked medium rare was pretty rare, which we knew they do an under cook. The quality and amount of lobster was lacking. It was truly just mediocre, nothing special. Then, something new was a 20% surcharge!! What?!?! I mean we typically leave a decent tip anyway but wow Daniel's!They do validate your parking garage ticket still so yay for that!! We forgot ours in the car but we knew we could show the ticket agent our receipt and they accept that as well for free parking.I used to look forward to our trip to Daniel's. I think we'll be searching for someplace new to try. It's a nice view but not a $300+ view. That's what I feel we were paying for tonight.
Came here as a group. The food is good but overpriced for the quality. More $$$ than the national chain steakhouses but not as good.
