They ran out of batter for the mini taiyaki but still had batter for the taiyaki cone??? The guy also forgot the taiyaki cone so he took the ice cream back and threw one on.. Like a previous review said the male workers seem like they don’t wanna be there. All in all in my son was happy to get his ice cream. ?

There were no lines when I arrived because I guess it's Sunday morning which is rare since every time I've been to the mall the line is long and blocking the area outside the shop. The person at the register was helpful answering my questions as a first time customer at this shop. Food was tasty and was ready in a timely manner. They ran out of boxes for fish taiyaki but hey, the goods have been received and those fishes have been eaten.

TL;DR: ice cream is average, cones are for aesthetics; get a cup to save yourself some money. More of a gimmicky food spot for food paparazzi (at least in my opinion).I went on a Sunday morning (Mother's Day) and they claimed they were already out of the fish cones. But none of the machines were on and didn't look in service. I'm guessing they just didn't want to deal with the influx of Mother's Day shoppers and orders so they just stopped production for the day. Just a guess because the employees didn't seem so apologetic at all.Parking: mall parking garages.Located inside the mall near Macys.Menu: straightforward and hanging behind the register.Service: order and pay at the register, wait for your order to be called and pick up at the back of the store.Sesame Ice Cream: Melted incredibly fast, leaked out my cone and dribbled everywhere. The taste is fine but the texture is like a sorbet consistency so it's a bit icy. Nothing really wowed me about this flavor. I wish it was creamier.Toppings: Not worth paying extra for. I ordered mochi for mine and got a few measly pieces. Very sad.

If I can put 0, I will. It taste ok yes but sanitary wise no. There was a worker that is touching and combing his hair with his fingers while others are prepping food then he went to a door while walking touched his finger on his ears, who knows if he washed his hands came out from the door with a container. Talked to a worker and asked for the manager to let them know about what was observed, apparently the one doing it was the manager. Told him what was observed denying everything and saying he was not handling food just the containers or the equipment. The mere fact that he was touching his skin not washing hands before touching anything in the prep area is a major hygiene issue. Never apologized. Will never go back!???

Looks good right????? WRONG!!! For Ube it tasted so bitter, red bean is about 1/4 of a teaspoon and 2 sticks of strawberry poke! For mango match floats 2/3 is ALL ice and 1 tablespoon of mango..grand total? $16.00 what a ripoff!!! Not coming back!!!

Finally got to try trendy Chamei Matcha's fish taiyaki and soft serve and really enjoyed it! Contrasted with my first mini fish taiyaki experience in NY that involved bland, soggy sponges of fish Chamei Matcha’s fish taiyaki with soft serve is crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside - a solid vessel for their creamy soft serves. And their filled fish taiyaki (comes in sets of 3 or 6) were satisfyingly dense and delicious. I refrained from 5 stars since the taiyaki could have afforded more filling and the cake often took over. They offer soft serve customizations, like a Nutella half filling or even rainbow mochi as a topping, and a ton of items like bingsu, obanyaki, lattes, floats, and cheezo fruit teas that I’ve heard are really great. Definitely want to go back and try more!

A bit on the pricey side, matcha too strong for my taste but others may like it. Long lines though - but staff tries to move it quickly. Ample space for dine in.

What a cute and delicious shop! So many different combo of assortments. We only tried the fish ice cream and it was good. Something different. We really liked the Nutella filling and the ube ice cream.

They offering to pay employees under the table then not paying them and asking potential employees to leave five star Yelp reviews. horrible ordering system. they didn't give me a number then couldn't figure out if it was my order (when I was the ONLY one there). texture is too icy, too much water vs matcha

Drawn to this store because it had soft serve, bingsu, taiyaki, matcha and many other options and flavors (hojicha, ube, brown sugar, etc)I felt intimidated by the menu and didn't know to get a frappe, float or a soft serve (what's the difference?!) If there were more photos of each drink item, it would help customers understand better what their options are.The woman taking our order wasn't very helpful or friendly.I ordered a matcha strawberry float and the flavor was a perfect balance between matcha and strawberry. My only complaint is that there is too much ice* in the float drinks.(order with light ice*)My friend ordered a matcha green tea float and didn't like it that much. I also did not care for it as the green tea flavor was too overwhelming.I would go back to try something new. Next time I would order a cheese foam (strawberry or mango) drink "cheezo". I do like the variety the store offers .
