No reservations. Park street side. You know the restaurant must be great when the place fills up ten minutes after opening time. We spotted many locals enjoying food and conversation. Upon arrival we were soon greeted and seated. The wait for food is quite long and your an fill the time with some coffee and talk. The food tasted great. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. A fun off the main road place.
The prices are great, the food looked great, ZERO PRIVACY AND SPACE. It’s a very small space so prepare to wait or be right next to other people. Table for 2, I was placed 2 feet away from someone else and their conversation now became mine. Being I didn’t want to intrude, and their personal detail of conversation as they’d take glances at me I decided to leave. The waitress seemed happy to not deal with another customer as she was already swamped. If you are looking for any amount of privacy or space, this is not the place you want to go but besides that everything looked great.
Restaurant was extremely busy with only one server working. Although she did her best to keep up they needed more staff. Food wasn't anything to rave about. Worst part of the experience was watching the server bus the tables and then continue to reset the tables with out washing her hands after handling all of the dirty dishes and napkins and then bring us our food right after that. Lost my appetite. Definitely won't be back.
This was the best breakfast we had all week (and the others were delicious too!). Tiny little place that knows how to make an egg and the bread for the toast is superb.
Delicious breakfast and good portions! Staff is very attentive and friendly. Pardon my half eaten breakfast, it looked so delicious I forgot to take picture of it first. ?
Love Maryann's delicious food. Especially her buttermilk pancakes ?. They taste just like my Grandma's. Thank you MaryAnn.
I was seated on Saturday the 26 the February. I got my glass of water and my menu. When I was ready to order , I waited, I waited, I waited some more, then a waitress came and filled my glass of water, then I waited some more, after that the two waitresses who were on duty looked directly at me and turned their backs to me. After that I figured they were not going to wait on me because their estimated tip was going to be small compared to a table of four. Food might be great here, I will never know but the service for a single guy is in the toilet.
We love Mary Ann's Kitchen in Anacortes! They have excellent food and Cheyenne is a wonderful waitress! Mary Ann is the chief cook and bottle washer and adds lots of love to her food. The cottage interior reminds me of going to Grandma's due to the knickknacks and painted pottery. If you are ever in Anacortes, go to Mary Ann's!
The food was ok, not great, but not bad. But the service was awful. We were about to walk out when the waitress finally came and asked if we wanted coffee.
Passing through town and decided to find a small local place for a late breakfast. I found this little jam, great friendly service and value.
