Husband and I had breakfast this morning and wanted to say it was awesome! Great service and food! We ordered breakfast and we had it delivered in 10 minutes!! Wow!! Will definitely go back! ❤️

Looking for a lunch spot in Anacortes we decided to just try Island Cafe. Not impressive from the outside or inside decor, but the food was very good, service was great and the prices more than fair. I had a bit with potato salad while my hubby had a cheeseburger and clam chowder. Both were excellent. We didn't have dessert, but oh my did it look good!

I didn’t expect to find avocado at a classic diner. It was a pleasant surprise and of course I had to order it. Really enjoyed the scramble, though the hashbrowns were a tad too greasy and the waffle was chewy. Brewed coffee was good.Good service and large portions. Plenty of free parking around. Other places had waitlists for breakfast and I’m glad we ended up here. Would come back if in the area.

The menu has everything you could want. Meals were huge and so good. Waitstaff was very attentive. Came all the way back from boat dock to go there again.

Everyone left happy and satisfied after a great Island Cafe dinner.Other options were closed or booked. Could not have worked out better for our hungry party of five.

Great staff and good food, I will be back for sure.

Friendly atmosphere and great cooks.

Good for solid American fare. Don’t expect fancy coffees or things like that but if you want honest food it’s good. Service is good. It obviously caters to locals which is a good thing.

I'm not one to usually leave a comment about our experience, but I hope this will help the establishment re-adjust their quality of food.First, my wife and I were visiting Anacortes for the weekend and we always look for fun new experiences with every place we visit. It isn't our first time to this town and we have had some good eats in previous visits. We enjoy good food and usually have a good barometer for what to expect. We started by ordering our drinks. A cup of coffee with cream, OJ, and a water. The OJ was fine, same with the water, but the coffee was burnt. Like cigar ash burnt. I actually told my wife it was like tasting a cigar. I drink alot of coffee. I've had some really cheap coffee in my life. This was beyond that. I had two sips before pushing it away.My wife ordered the Salmon and Spinach Eggs Benedict, one of the daily specials. I ordered the Country Fried Steak and Eggs off of the regular menu.Okay. We didn't expect what seemed like a pre-packaged store bought frozen salmon Patty. I mean, this is a seafood town... where was the filet? The spinach wasn't even cooked in the slightest and the Hollandaise sauce was possibly from a package? The rest of the meal came with hash-browns which partially under cooked. She ate a portion of one of the two eggs Benedict before stopping. The Country Fried Steak and Eggs was not the best. The steak breading was overly salty and it came with way too much gravy. I ate about 1/3 of it. The Eggs I ordered over easy, they were fine. The hash browns were also undercooked in some spots and over crispy in others.Overall, we always hope that when we try a new place that we find something amazing. We also never leave comments about our experiences, good or bad. I just hope that this review will help the establishment think about their quality of food a bit more.

We went to the Island Cafe for a small family dinner for 5. We were greated cheerfully and seated right away. After ordering our beverages, which were served immediately, our server took the orders all around from their great diverse menu. She soon returned with platters steaming with generous portions. What a great evening! We'll be going back for sure!
