OBSESSED. I heard such great things and came after church for such a yummy breakfast! It is a really cute and cozy place with a fun menu. Their play area for kiddos is really nice!
Great place to grab a coffee and have a sit with your kids in tow. Truly one of the few coffee stops I have found that had a good set up for kids.\\nThat said, bring your ear plugs. Gets a little loud. I'm not sure how long they have been here but a little more cohesion in vision maybe. Felt like 2 different places. Had a cortado. Always appreciate when I can order it without explaining it's make up.
Great experience with a delicious breakfast and play time for the kids!
I'm willing to concede it was a bad day for this staff but some things just can't be overlooked. We were cool when we found out they were out of chicken salad. No biggie. Also not a big deal that they were out of bananas. We were cool when told they only have sweet iced tea. And we tried to play checkers but most of the pieces were missing. These things happen. But here's what should not happen: The staff should not be smug and condescending. The whole smug hipster thing has gotten tiresome. This staff doesn't care about the patrons and it shows. And when my husband told a staff member the water container was low, the staff member told him just to turn it upside down to get the last little bit of water out of it. The guy then sat down and started scrolling away on his phone. He clearly couldn't be bothered to refill the water or even ask another staff member to do it. My husband managed to get a little cup of tepid water for three of us to share, with crumbs and other random bits floating in it. Disgusting. We were told the owner was available to speak with us but then told the owner was not there. And apparently there is no management of any kind to speak of on a Sunday afternoon. This explains why there were so many teens sitting around, on their phones, not caring about providing something as basic as clean water to their customers. The owner of this place might want to hire an adult to manage these kids. I can't speak to the food offered here because we asked for a refund. We're not going to spend $50 for lunch at place that can't be bothered to provide us with water.
Whether you are there to relax, work, or play this cafe is special. They have great drinks and breakfast. The little play area is so fun for small children. Service has always been nothing short of amazing.
My friend and I wanted to go to a local spot instead of the usual chain coffee shops. In short - we are both coming back. As soon as my friend and I walked in, we felt welcome. The atmosphere is inviting, even before you get to the service counter. The staff were friendly. Instantly we felt at home. We ended up staying for several hours, chatting. It was cozy and comfortable, and the staff never bothered us, except to ensure we were taken care of. While there, we ordered the Chai Latte, the Dirty Chai, iced tea, and coffee. We also ordered from the breakfast menu and finished with dessert. We could not find fault with anything. The food tasted like the best of home-cooking. My only wish is that the drinks were larger.
My wife has always wanted some latte art and we found the perfect place! Really nice spot, definitely a coffee house feel. Even has a play area for children. Don't pass this one up ☺️
In the heart of the Kiln Creek area is Persnickety Crane Cafe. As a regular, I have enjoyed the variety of food and coffee options. I most love the friendly service atmosphere, good fellow customers, and even the kids playing in the play area. To many, Persnickety Crane is like an old town center where people gather, talk, share, and enjoy each other's company--they just happen to have great food and coffee too. Yes, it is rather popular, and it is rather enjoyable.
I originally made a great review on fb from my first visit. Since I have been here a few times the quality has changed. I’ve kept coming back becusse it’s great for the kids area but the food is inconsistent. I ordered the sunrise bowl about a week ago and I literally had the best, freshest eggs ever so fluffy! Then..I come back today my eggs in the bowl and the kids eggs are microwaved, hard as a rock in some spots, cheese is just plastered on the container because it’s been over cooked. You can just hear order after order in the microwave. Maybe microwave is the standard and I came on a fluke day when they were cooking them fresh? Idk..just tell me the day the person is here cooking the eggs and I’ll make sure to come that day. I’m so torn because this place is such a delight..photo is leftover eggs from our meal. For comparison I’ll post the eggs from the other day (we didn’t add anything to the eggs either day..)
This cafe was amazing! They had great options on the menu for food and drinks, and they all sounded so good that it was hard to choose. I ended up trying "The Hipster" sandwich and immediately loved it. My mom, who I was there with, tried some of mine and liked it so much she ordered one for herself. We also ordered two more to go, an extra one for myself, and one for my younger brother who raved about how good it tasted. The employees were very friendly and nice and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing ?. 10/10 would visit again, especially with more friends!
