The small chicken Chipotle salad was delicious and more than enough for lunch or dinner. The brushetta was also delightful but came out with our lunch, instead of an appetizer. The quality of the food merits a 5 star. Service, maybe a 4.
The food was great. It's just the closing time is 10pm on their door, website, and we asked when we came in at 830pm. Then at 9pm we cashed out and the waitress had mentioned that they closed at 9pm. We asked when we came in if they closed at 10pm and they said yes. Please don't be rude to customers about leaving right at your closing time when it is clearly marked 10pm on your front door and your website.
Joe & Mimmas just isn't what it used to be. Nothing bad to say... food was hot but flavor was mid. The shrimp scampi lacked enough sauce (if you will) for the 6 shrimp and pile of angel hair it's served with. The blackened salmon is in name only (blackened seasoning but not the fish) which was barely cooked to done (borderline raw) however the sauce that the fettuccine was served with was decent. Overall just average Italian dinner.
My sub was good. They weren’t very friendly. Very expensive for a sub pizza and fries. My bill was $40.. like wow. And what restaurant doesn’t to do go drinks? We pay for soda. My kids and I had 1 cup. She was like if we did, I wouldn’t have time to do anything else. I would be doing nothing , but filling to go cups!Wow. I was like did she really say that? Almost Every restaurant does to go drinks!! I can’t believe how expensive this place.
Best Italian place I have eaten at in Yorktown. I was serviced immediately, my drink was on the table within 2 minutes and my pizza, a Joe's special was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend eating here.
Joe Exotic & Mimma's pizza. For an appetizer we ordered garlic knots that did not look traditional and were doughy In the middle. We then ordered a medium pizza half mushroom for my wife half sausage for me. Pizza came out and the smell was immediate. I smelt something old and funky thinking it was possibly mushroom but I took a bite of the sausage and immediately knew something wasn't right. The sausage was old and unbeatable. I told the waitress the cook said they cooked it that morning. I've had a billion sausage pizzas even frozen that never smelled or taste like that by any means. They took the pizza off our check we left. I'll never go back there again ever
If I could give 0 stars I would. Usually order pizza from here but decided to try lasagna and baked ziti tonight. Ordered these along with breadsticks and this was the most horrible food I have ever ordered. Also, the breadsticks were cold and hard. I can't believe they actually let these dishes go out the door. Total waste of money here. Do not order anything besides pizza from here. SO disappointed that we wasted our money.
I ordered shrimp scampi. There was no olive oil or garlic or butter in the dish. The shrimp was rubbery and overcooked. Overcooked shrimp was put in waterlogged angel hair pasta with no seasoning. Tea was never refilled. Will never return.
The food was really good and the service was good also.I had chicken marsala, my friend had a sub sandwich, and her husband had spaghetti with meat sauce
Visiting from out of town so first time I've been here. Phenomenal!Waitress was friendly and attentive and food was great. We were a table of 5 and we each had different menu selections. I got Veal parm but with Alfredo sauce and it was delicious. The veal was breaded in house and Alfredo sauce was house made...best I've had in a long time.A different waitress did give a few of our plates to another table by mistake but our waitress was honest and they fixed it quickly.
