Overpriced in Uber eats. $26 for just these two chicken pieces. Taste is good but compared to other desi restaurants they are very expensive and low in quantity but great in taste.Maybe it’s because of Ramadan but overall for an average person it’s overpriced. I would prefer ordering some other restaurants to get more for less.
First time here an absolutely loved it!!! Our server, Shlok, was so so friendly and helpful. Everything was served super fast and fresh and tasted delicious. Service is unmatched. Had people checking on us, picking up plates so fast, making us laugh and explaining the menu. Complete dining experience. Clean place. Everything was wonderful!!!
Disappointed. HUGE fan of Middle Eastern food & I always try to support local restaurants. However, I had only 8 chunks of chicken in my $16 Butter Chicken entree & my order of rice barely filled half of its container. Waited over an hour for basically an overpriced appetizer.
Great food, the naan was really warm and soft, and very buttery. Very delicious! The tikka beef kebab was also really good and warm and tender. It’s pretty quiet during the weekdays so its nice to come by. They also have buffet on the weekends. Highly recommend the place!
Their food was good initially, light spices, fresh rice. Our last 3-4 orders had been total junk and we trashed it. Rice has been always old, meat is yuk and spiced up to cover the other tastes. Last time ordering!!!
Excellent Authentic Food. Excellent Atmosphere to eat in. These guys are always very welcoming, and make sure you are very well taken care of. Please give Zaffron a try, you won’t be disappointed.
We ordered food from Zaffron restaurant for the first time, the kabobs, rice, taste and smells great as an afghan professional chief has cooked the food and baked the bread.Thank you! We will come again and again
Our first time trying Afghan food and it was all so delicious !
For years, we wondered what an Afghan restaurant would be like as we drove by. Then the restaurant changed its name to Zaffron, and our curiosity grew even more. We finally decided to try it and loved the food! We both decided on the lamb chops, which were grilled to perfection: crispy and well-seasoned outside and juicy inside. The chops came over a bed of both brown and white basmati rice in a beautiful presentation, with a small salad on the side of the plate. Also in the dinner were a side of spinach (think saag but without a ton of curry) and (my favorite) the spicy chickpeas. I can't begin to describe the heavenly spice combo on the chickpea dish. In addition to all this food, there was a side of naan, and we chose lassi mango (yogurt-based beverage) as our drink. The milk/yogurt in the lassi mango both tempered and complemented the spices in the food. At the end, the owner came out and gave us rice pudding. We didn't think I had room, but we polished it off. All this with a wonderful server! In the spirit of transparency, we should let potential diners know that this family-owned restaurant serves large parties on weekends, and the dining room may be closed for those parties, so please call ahead. Also, as the restaurant transitions to the new ownership, the menu is undergoing revision, so for now don't expect menus listed on the web to match what is available. Just go with a spirit of food adventure, and you won't be disappointed.
This is one of my family's absolute favorite places to eat. We ordered takeout from Zaffron a lot during the Covid shutdown and they always delivered wonderful meals. I went and ate in the dining room today for the first time -- the food was excellent as always and the staff was attentive, pleasant, and hospitable.
