So my brother and I decided to stop by this Japanese restaurant and enjoy a few dishes off the menu that you can obviously see in the images. I must say that the taste, texture and temperature of everything we ate was spectacular. This is definitely a stop, by and dine in spot, but space is very limited so please arrive early. Especially on weekends.Shout-outs to Kevin, Yurika and the rest of the team. Service was on point! ☺️??
I was in the mood for sushi while visiting a friend in the area. She suggested this place along with the “Mutant” sushi rolls which I ordered “well done” because I did not want the salmon raw/undercooked. The person that took my phone order was very curt and unpleasant which was making me second guess my decision from the beginning to eat there. My friend however acknowledged that “the guy” there is usually rude (as though this was normal for them) but the sushi was good.I arrived and picked up my food without incident. I then drove home to discover that the salmon on the sushi roll was raw. I was very disappointed so I decided to call the restaurant to discuss my first experience ordering/eating from there. To my surprise I was greeted by a different “guy” who was equally, if not more ruder than the first “guy” that took my order.I explained that the sushi was not cooked as I requested. He tells me that I am incorrect and that the sushi was baked even after I literally tasted, touched it and was looking at it with my bare eyes.He then dismissively states that “we’ll just give you a free sushi roll or something when you come back”. Annoyed by this whole interaction, I advise him that I don’t think I’ll be coming back. He then says okay and hangs up.I call back annoyed and very offended at this point. The same guy answers the phone. I explained if this is how you treat your customers, I’ll be sure to let others know. The guy continued to remain dismissive and unfazed. You could tell that this was probably not the 1st time this guy has treated a customer like this. Before I came here to write my own review of this place, I looked at the other 1-2 star reviews left behind by others, just to see if anyone else has had a similar experience. Surprise, I was not the only one!!Take my advice, if you’re in the mood for sushi (or probably anything this restaurant offers), do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place!! Spend your money where it will be appreciated! To make matters worse, the food was mediocre at best!Trust me this place isn’t worth the headache or the money! You can definitely find better elsewhere!
I’ve been here a few times & I’m never disappointed. The first time I went our waitress recommended the Bulgogi Don & now it’s our go to. It’s too good. We tried several of Jin’s creations but the crispy shrimp vs sweet crab & Maryland upgrade is always a must. Customer service is always on point.
Meh…….It’s busy, full restaurant is always a good sign. The waiting part needs to be re-imagined. We didn’t wait too long I would say about 20mins. Not terrible.I have lived in Japan for a total of 5 years and, I am well aware that ramen is different everywhere even in Japan.I had the spicy Jin ramen. It was not spicy. The noodles were way too soft for me. The broth lacked in depth of flavor.-I liked the shrimp shumai. I appreciate the chili oil on the table-My daughter enjoyed her chicken ramen. They were considerate and expedited the meals. Since she is a diabetic type 1. I appreciate that.-All in all it’s a good American Sushi spot, but it is a far cry from representing ramen. I would come back for the sushi. The portions are generous.
There was a wait(20 min) but within reasonable wait times for lunch crowd on a Saturday. They will take your number and will call you when your seat is available. The chicken ramen was amazing and the fried sushi with salmon in them was awesome as well. Be sure to try the dipping sauce! The Restaurant isn't a true ramen style, but they don't serve only ramen, so I expected it to be a bit more open. The server was polite and attentive. The overall experience was a 9/10.Ramen was 9/10Sushi was 8/10Service was a 10/10 very polite.Restaurant was a 7/10
We ordered 5 rolls and mochi ice cream. The selection was great offering a wide variety of different options and even some vegetarian options for those who need it. We didn't have to wait too long for our food. Everything looked so appealing and delicious coming out leaving our mouth's watering. Even though we ordered 5 rolls between 2 people we demolished everything it was so good. I've always been a fan of Mochi ice cream too so that was a very nice addition. They also offer many other options than just suishi such as ramen, sake, and other traditional eastern style dishes.
I absolutely loved this place I came often but today different story I was sat down and there was a roach inside the menu that was hung on the wall also the shelves are dusty as heck the floors are sticky this will be my last time coming
Service was quick and welcoming. Bulgogi tasted amazing, and the portion was enough for about one person. The shumai was the best in the area
YIKES!!! My wife and I have been there 3 times before, all times were great except this time! Decided for pick up, called in to place my order. The guy read it back and missed an item I said so I corrected him and told him 2 of it. He read it back again and said only 1, I then corrected him again saying, “no 2 of the chashu ramen.” He then blew me off and said, “ okay okay.” So I thought he acknowledged 2 and not 1. Low and behold, he did not get it. When picking it up they didn’t get the second ramen, mixed my salmon roll up with a tuna roll. And the “soft boiled eggs” are just hard boiled. And they forgot the tempura but we didn’t press the issue…… sounds like newer younger staff and the service went down hill.———UPDATE———Just ate the food, the ramen was bland and the chashu was literally boiled pork. It wasn’t cooked in any soy based sauce for flavoring at all. I know this sounds like a upset customer just crapping on the food because of the messed up order after repeating it 3 times but seriously I remember their ramen from the first time we went as being so good, now it’s just meat flavored water with boiled meat. I hope they can improve and get better because this was really and awesome spot.
My family of vegetarians (three out of the four of us) come here for some fantastic vegetarian sushi. The options are so expansive and unique, which can be pretty uncommon for vegetarian sushi. We loved the April and Amazon sushi, sooo good!
